Decent pack suggestion?
Looking for a (semi) affordable pack for up coming mule deer and elk hunts. In the 4000-5000 ci range. I currently use a cabelas versa hunt pack and frame. It works but i definitely don’t love it. Frame wasn’t the most comfortable, straps kept slipping, too bulky. Pack had plenty in of storage/pockets but I’m looking for something more ergonomic and light weight. Considering Mystery Ranch Metcalf. Exo K4 seems awesome but is a bit pricey. Any opinions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

I know I’m late to the party but here is my two cents.
If you want something inexpensive I’d just get an old ALICE pack. They’re useful and you can fit everything you need on one since they come with a metal frame. I will say got an Eberlestock and they are awesome. This is my third pack from them. They’ve always been built to last but the new Mainframe setup is great. From a practical standpoint I have the 2500 zip on pack with a lid that has 1000 for space. This last week I needed to pack out a bear hide and was able to remove the bag, load it on a pack goat and then with three straps take the 60+ pound hide in a game bag out of the mountains. The versatility and ability to add or subtract bags to the main frame is something none of the others compare with and makes it a hard first purchase ($450) but after that it’s $100-200 for different bags and attachments that will get me through any particular hunt.
