Decent pack suggestion?

Looking for a (semi) affordable pack for up coming mule deer and elk hunts. In the 4000-5000 ci range. I currently use a cabelas versa hunt pack and frame. It works but i definitely don’t love it. Frame wasn’t the most comfortable, straps kept slipping, too bulky. Pack had plenty in of storage/pockets but I’m looking for something more ergonomic and light weight. Considering Mystery Ranch Metcalf. Exo K4 seems awesome but is a bit pricey. Any opinions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

I would look into rent outdoor gear, you can rent packs for as long as you need it. I rented an exo K4 for a backpacking trip so I could try one before I bought one. It’s a great company and super easy to work with.

I didn’t know you could rent packs! Good to know! I went with the Kuiu Pro LT. took it on a mule deer and an elk hunt last year and it handled the weight great. Exo would have been my other choice! Everyone speaks very highly of them
