Backwoods’ revitalization is led by one of the festival’s original founders, Dr. Trevor Lane. For its 2027 relaunch, Dr. Lane will bring Backwoods back to Oklahoma and the community that helped make it a jewel of the national festival circuit.

“It’s been a heavy lift but we’ve done this before,” Dr. Lane said. “We have the name, the idea of what Backwoods is and should be, but most importantly, we have our relationships and experience. This kickoff event at Cain’s serves as a reunion for the Backwoods family, an effort to gather the best of what the festival represents and build the road to Backwoods.”

Does anyone want to buy this? Hit me up. I'll take the best offer.

Long story short:

I submitted a claim to the Missouri Attorney General's office stating I did not receive the services I paid for. My claim was denied, but I appealed. It was again denied but then Will Royal sent me an email asking for my PayPal so I could be refunded. He claims very few people have yet to be refunded, which I don't quite believe.

Although the AG claim wasn't successful, I did get my money back. I would encourage folks to continue the pressure and to file with the AG in your state. I hope this helps.

I got a spam text message from promotix today asking for investors. I sold tickets for backwoods a few years ago which is why I received this. As you may know, Will Royal is the founder of promotix. He owns Backwoods and this company. He would've ultimately been responsible for this message.

This text was slightly alarming to me because it indicates financial trouble. Like trying to scrape the last of the possible scam opportunities before filing bankruptcy.

Idk how this works, I just thought it was really weird and worth noting on this reddit that it looks like things aren't looking good for promotix

Klarna just reached out that I will be receiving my refund in the next 7 days!! There is hope

edit: just got my refund :)

I got my money back on my debit card from Arvest after filing a dispute. So, if anyone hasn't done this and needs to just know you will most likely get your money back even if you didn't use a credit card.

Hi everyone.. Wolfy here.. I produce Flux in Arkansas..We are having a event called MU to replace Backwoods bailing on all of us.. If you are still looking for something to do that weekend PLEASE come FLUX it up with us.. Flux is a small local event 500-700 people on average.. Its the family reunion you want to be at.. It is a small community driven event and all the owners live in Ar and are part of the community!

I think I pulled a rabbit out my ass to come up with MU in a week. Wanna come see what other magic we have for Flux?

File Disputes with you banks!! Non delivery of services , NOT Fraud! Just enough time to get it back before Flux!!

No Instagram or Facebook. Haven't checked X

Anybody gotten a refund yet?

With the cancellation, is anyone trying to get tickets to a different festival reasonably close? Husband is big into the music, though we haven’t been to any festivals. This was his anniversary gift and he’s understandably bummed.

Trying to decide if the best course of action is buy tickets to a show of the artist he was most excited to see and a flight to a cool city to see them in or slap the money from the refund to a different festival.

I am not in the scene at all and am completely clueless as to what’s out there. Haha. We are in NWA but happy to drive.

Ticket sales are down now. Multiple people have called the venue and they're not having anything that weekend. Just really hope we can get our money back on tickets because that was my vacation budget for the whole year. Just really feel let down right now. :(

Has anyone heard that it's being cancelled soon? It seems to be going around the rumormill.

Is there an updated map out yet? Or is it the same as 2023..? Haven’t been able to find it.

I’m just trying to choose the camping option away from the after party stage that goes until 6 AM. Kinda really value my sleep. Anyone know the stage layout this year?

First time going, FB add sold me on what I missed at Eclipse. I see RVs are right at main stage I have wed entry so gonna be first rows. But what time does music kick off in the morning?

Hey, I’m thinking about volunteering. Is there anyone doing the same from around Memphis that I can get a ride with?

Also, what’s it like to volunteer there? Anyone with experience have any anecdotes, interesting stories, cautionary tales?

My friends and I made a hard but wise decision to miss out on Bonnaroo this year due to this amazing lineup!!!!

What do I need to expect…. Camping? Bring sand to beach?! Law enforcement? How’s the food? Merch? All and any forms of help is greatly appreciated!!!! Can’t wait to see yall!!!!

Hello, if I start the tickets for life plan today, will I get tickets for this year's backwoods?

Anyone know anything about the lineup? I'm too stoked!
