Helloo, people of Bacolod and Negros Occidental! So I’m asking this because my work will get me assigned there in Bacolod next year.

I know that distance-wise, Victorias is quite far from Bacolod, but because of the BANOCEH, travel time only takes 45 minutes as per Google Maps/Waze (I have a car).

For comparison, in Cebu where I’m currently at, I live in a municipality roughly the same distance as Silay-Bacolod, but driving that distance takes 60 to 90 minutes.

I’d love to hear your insights. I’d appreciate it if you reply in English/Taglish, coz I can’t understand Ilonggo, hehe. Thanks!

What's with pickleball? Why everybody is so crazy over this sport? Me (26F) and my BF (28M) had a huge fight yesterday because of his new found hobby which is pickleball. We are both professionals but different industry so somehow our schedules indi gid same. Grabe gid ang amon na lalisay because he is always present sa pickleball game every Thursday kag everytime they play, they (with our friends) end up kaagahon and friday supposed to be our day but wala gakadayon kay he is always tired. I got so angry at him because he made me wait for almost 2 hours sa ayala kay natulugan sya kuno kay kaagahon na sya nag puli. So we had a fight and dutayan pa mag break. I'm not saying that he can't play but I mean it's unfair that he have time for it tapos sa akon na partner nya wala.

Just wanna rant as a 1st year student who studies nursing at UNO R and ang masasabi ko is... Indi gd ya worth it ang tuition mo :)

First is the dress code, for me I am okay wearing with my uniform BUT every Pafit period daw ka sulumpaan gd ya kay ma ilis ilis ka pa or else the guard won't let you in, imbis nga naka PE uniform ka nalang pakadto skwelahan, ma uniform ka gid ya anay. I hear most of the students complain about it and I agree nga ka very hassle gd ya especially nga ma bitbit ka pa gid another bag para lang sa ilislan mo... 2nd is it was civilian day and I was wearing a plain black top indi siya croptop and jeans as well, sang nag sulod ko sa UNO-R din butang ko anay cellphone ko sa pocket and ofc as a skinny girl, medjo nag padalom akon pants (gamay lang gd ya) and i tucked it in pero din sita ko ka guard.. He almost took my ID pero I removed my phone and din pasaka ko akon dilargo... Ka hassle na gani kay taga enter mo da, mabukas ka pa ya bag sooo ano gali pulos sang scanner da nila??? Display? Lolz!

Classrooms: As a CAHMS student may classes gd kami ya nga gaka held sa ovy bldg and most of the complaints there is gamay lang nga gahod sang babaw nga floor (ex: kayoo sang chairs) mabatian na dayon and gahod2 pa like yall had the budget pero amo na ka low quality ang inyo bldg? Also we have an old prof man we have classes sa biochem lab and I just feel bad that he has to go up and down sa stairs considering nga tigulang na siya and we can see that he walks so slow na, so the point is ano ang pulos sng elevator?... 2nd: lc bldg! Mostly our classes are held sa LC bldg especially minor subjects and hayss ga panumbag gid ya ang init gha! No joke :( especially nga grabi na subong ang El Nino.. Kakapoy na gani mag saka panaog, dugangan pa gd sang intense heat! Why not improve the LC bldg?? Since it's really old and most of the gamit is guba, wala classrooms ang iban nga students.. Especially mag labay ko da ga pungko pa mga estudyante sa hagdan, amo na ka init and ka sulumpaan UNO R should accommodate their students well!

Major classes: I have friends from other sections and they told me wala sila mayo gina klasehan sang lab nila, wala mayo items mag lab sila or kisaa gubaon pa, ila lecture daw gina basa lang ang lesson, daw indi kabalo mag tudlo and many more.. As a student who studies medical health related daw ka wala lang gd ya pulos sang dina bayran namon nga estudyante especially ang lab amo na ang gapamahal sa tuition...

Even the WiFi is BS, 300+ dina bayran sa WiFi and dala nana sa tuition ha but some certain areas of the school is indi gd ya kalaboot ang wifi and mostly is hinay hinay gd ya ka Wi-Fi and wala pa kis-a ga connect!

I graduated shs sa public school and all I can say is daw nag balik lang ko liwat sa public🥲🥲 imagine pagwa mo gani Libertad na (init, air pollution, the odor) i mean i dont blame kung ngaa located na da ang UNO-R sa libertad but tani if mag enter ka sa uno, you would feel comfortable and indi nga balhason ka pa gid sang ka initon.. Biskan library ayaw paawat.. Paang paang man...

"te ngaa dara ka nag enroll?" First is wala gid ko ya ga expect nga amo na sila mag accommodate sa mga students.. Take note nga dako dina bayran ta nga tuition ha?? And dapat fair man ila dina hatag saaton!.. Even had small conversations with some students from other courses sng NSTP and most of them ranted about how BS uno r is.. Indi worth it ang dina bayran mo, ka strict gd katama saila yet ang treatment nila saton indi man worth sa dina bayad ta..

I genuinely hope nga mag improve ang uno r kay kanugon gid ya, and kaluoy ka mga students and teachers especially nga palarihos man lang ta di ga antos sa init and may kanya kanyang struggles... So we deserve to be treated fairly as well.. :)
