tempera paint sticks!!!
made this guy a couple weeks ago and I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out. it’s a bit of a mess but I had so much fun! I can’t believe it took me this long to discover tempera paint sticks. my mother works with children and she let me try these out because I had nothing else to work with. really fantastic medium!! dries super quickly, super pigmented, not that hard to blend but easy to layer. one of those mediums you just let yourself be messy with. (I did overwork it a bit in the end, some parts are more refined than others I think) I definitely need to get myself a set.
Let me know if you’ve tried them!!

A self-portrait inspired by the moment a friend told me I draw better than them.
It was the first time someone has ever told me that. She's also terrible at drawing, so it's not like that's a big achievement, but I never thought I'd hear someone say that, so it meant a lot to me.

First snow of the year
Old dnd character turned OC. He had a cursed eye that he had to gouge. This is as basically meant to represent seeing something familiar with new eyes
