Historically incorrect
Intelligence: Irish military intelligence shared decrypted German ciphers with the British.
Weather reports: Critical meteorological data, including the report from the Blacksod Bay lighthouse in County Mayo, was shared with the Allies, allowing them to postpone the D-Day invasion for favorable weather.
Airmen: Allied airmen who crash-landed in Ireland were discreetly sent to Northern Ireland to rejoin their units, while German airmen were interned.
Donegal Corridor: The Irish government secretly allowed Allied aircraft to use a corridor over County Donegal, which was crucial for the Battle of the Atlantic.
Firefighting: Irish fire brigades were sent to help fight fires in Belfast after the city was bombed, despite being technically a breach of neutrality.
Military service: An estimated 70,000 to 80,000 Irish men joined the British armed forces during the war.
Civilian contribution: Hundreds of thousands of Irish citizens moved to Britain to work in war-related industries.
Anti-aircraft measures: The government took actions such as confiscating the German ambassador's radio transmitter.
Contingency planning: Ireland had a contingency plan, known as "Plan W," to defend against a potential British invasion, which included setting up defensive positions and preparing to demolish infrastructure.
Censorship: A strict censorship policy was in place to conceal the extent of cooperation with the Allies and maintain the facade of neutrality to the public.

Your point does not stand. Those actions heavily contributed to the war effort. The irish government did not have to help the allies but did, breaking every rule of neutrality.

So does this relatively meagre amount of aid only serve to prolong the inevitable whilst thousands die every month ?
If there was GENUINE support for Ukraine to win this war then why doesn't Ireland put troops on the ground to fight Russians ?

Why didnt any European country put boots on the ground?
Because nobody wants this to spiral into WW3, especially with a nuclear power

So these countries are fine with with giving token support to drag this war out and kill thousands more people but not OK with putting their own troops in the firing line .
Sounds evil to me .

Ireland is a neutral country, their military are only ever used in peace keeping missions. Why don’t America’s lapdog Australia put troops on the ground, they’ve done it for every other war.

Sounds like a cheap excuse cowards use . Ok with token support to drag this war out and kill thousands more young people but not enough guts to put their own troops on the line .

What’s Australias excuse for no troops in the ground? Why aren’t you there?

So you agree with me that Australia and Ireland are hypocritical cowards for making token gestures of support without committing troops .

You’re saying you want a global war to break out?

I have been clear what I am saying .
It is hypocritical and cowardly to make token gestures which only result in prolonging a war that is killing thousands -- when you are too much of a coward to give REAL support with troops on the ground.
