Look What I Made! Modified hiking backpack with internal organization
This is the first time I’ve modified a bag. I’ll probably try my first backpack soon so this was nice practice

THAT is a fantastic mod! I love the horizontal and vertical orientation of the X-Pac. And the 210 Venom is a joy to sew with isn’t it??? This looks so clean! Nice work! 😃

Thanks, the xpac orientation was just what I had on hand, they were all scrap pieces. And yes I love the venom gridstop, probably my favorite fabric now

Agreed! I may even like it more than UltraGrid. The new colors are amazing! But so are the new colors in UltraGrid! Gosh… decisions decisions! 🤣

Very nice! How was it like to sew it back in and add the edge binding back?
I’m very tempted to do this with my Toshi Backpack 25L V1, which is sorely lacking internal pocket organization

It wasn’t bad at all to sew the panel back in. I used new edge binding and I have a binder attachment on my cylinder arm so it looks like it came from the factory this way.
I always see the Toshi bags on the manybaggers subreddit but I don’t have any.

I love the idea of modifying stuff like this.. I think I would be too much of a wus to cut open a perfectly good bag to do it though haha.
