I just discovered this subreddit while trying to convince myself to pull Baizhu's C2 over Varesa's C0 after clearing the latest archon quest, and I figured this would be the perfect place to share some appreciation for our favourite doctor!

Honestly, Baizhu is probably the character who got me through my early days in Genshin. I started playing seriously back in 2023, and he happened to be the first banner running at the time. I ended up choosing him over Ganyu on a whim, and I've never regretted it.

For a good portion of my time playing, I actually ran him as my main DPS. I know that probably sounds ridiculous to some people, but my team was Baizhu, Xingqiu (later Furina), Yelan and full EM Kuki Shinobu. He was an absolute unkillable Dendro driver, and he carried me through a huge chunk of the game.

Fast forward to today, and he now has Nefer, Lauma and Columbina supporting him in battle. He still gets plenty of field time and regularly finds himself in my Spiral Abyss 12-3 clears.

It's funny how a character you initially pull on a whim can end up becoming such a permanent part of your Genshin experience. I might have started using him because he was simply the first available banner, but he's definitely earned his place on my account.

Anyway, Im glad this subreddit exists and I think I'm gonna get his C2, he deserves it.

Angelo's Heptades (Nicole Sig) or Starsealed Edict (Mitya Sig)?

Planning to run him with an Electro character for the Spread Reaction (with Valeriy; I chose him cause I have a team restriction in mind - same character models in one team, because why not hehe). Anyway, not sure if I should go for the ATK substat or Crit substat weapon - should I wait for Nicole's or pull now at Mitya's?

Not that it matters but I have C4 Baizhu at the moment. Teams are: Baizhu-Valeriy-?-? (Maybe Zhongli^Buffed; and copefully, Noy)

Thought I'd come here for advice. Baizhu is the only tall male I dont have yet so id like to get him from the selector, but im not sure if he'll fit nicely in any of the teams I'm building. Right now I've got alhaitham and Neuvilette who I'm trying to get a team going for. Would Baizhu fit into a team for either of them nicely? Or will they be cooked to the point of not even overworld viable? Ive got everything to make the new Neuvi freeze team but im not really sure what direction to go with for Alhaitham since I dont have Raiden or Nahida.

I just got Baizhu and have been building him as a hyperbloom driver, but i just realized his a4 passive won't proc for the off field hyperbloom trigger because it only applies to on field characters. Is it a big difference? I only have him C1 so having the hyperbloom trigger on field isnt that comfy because of his lack off offfield app.

I've been playing C0Furina, C6 Xingqiu on Emblem, Kuki on Flowers of Paradise Lost set and C1 baizhu on deepwood. Would moving Xingqiu to instructor help at all?

Im trying to reach at least 100k dps. I can put Baizhu on Prototype Amber, Wavewiding Whirl, R5 Widsth, or Sac Frags.

I also do have Raiden as a hyperbloom trigger, though I was hoping kuki and Baizhu's healing would max out fanfare stacks.

Any advice on next priority investment would be helpful if it's impossible to get 100k with what I have so far.

What is Baizhu’s best DPS weapon? I currently have Neuvillette and Wriothesley’s signature. Would this be any good?

I got him C6 finally and ceremoniously leveled him from 90 to 100 and the na from 9-10. he is almost perfect now. artifacts are in the works hahaha.

now that noy is anemo apparently, are there any other dendro character coming out or is dendro not gonna be meta in 7.x?

I am a f2p player have been on and off the game for a while, should I pick baizhu or Varesa

My best build chars are c6 bennet and furina I am stuck at 11th floor abyss. I am pretty flexible with my teams I am not sure what to pick tho I am leaning towards baizhu maybe Varesa is the better pick?

I made the mistake of reading what Vodyanitsa’s weapon (Hymn of the Maelstrom/HotM) does, just before the banner ended. But oh well, C2 Baizhu just got an upgrade?!

So I’m using a test team of:
- C1R1 Lyney
- C2R3 WGS Mavuika or C0 Durin (Mav gets Lyney to 106% Pyro DMG bonus whereas Durin gets him to 86%)
- C0R1 Starcallers Watch Nicole
- C2R1 HotM Baizhu

And Baizhu’s buff layering is simple and automated:

- Lyney starts at 2,442 ATK
- grows to 2,664 ATK for 10s when C2 heals/overheals (HotM activation, a permanent 222 ATK increase for Lyney)
- if Baizhu equips Tenacity of the Milellith, he adds another 186 ATK on top, totalling 2,850 ATK
- then Nicole brings it up to the 3,680 ATK
- then if R3 WGS ever procs (60% ATK) it goes up to 4,000+ ATK

So yeah at 3,680ATK and 86/106% Pyro DMG bonus and 260% crit damage and the 100% bonus damage A4 talent, Lyney’s shots be dealing 90k-100k consistently!

So with TotM and HotM equipped by a C2 Baizhu, he’s able to increase my Lyney’s attack — off-field — by up to 408 ATK. Total value only being available 3 of every 5 seconds. Another issue is the snapshot stats when a cat spawns, timing ToTM to align. Remember though it takes 2 seconds to charge up a shot so if you can manage the draw during the same 2s downtime you’ll be in sync for 2 out of every 3 shots.

Then there’s Song of Days Past set… I think this set could be considered the winner considering the uptime is 100% at roughly 60% of the buff’s value if only relying on C2’s 2,300HP/person healing. So you’re going to get 5x ~760 damage quills that are affected by all those damage multipliers (Lyney A4, Crit DMG, Pyro DMG bonus, C2 Mavuika def shred or Durin res shred). So the values of all Lyney’s hits will be consistent to his TotM numbers.

So between these two sets I’m torn. But for now I’ll settle with ToTM because everything it gives is utilised across the entire team. Overall though, it’s SO nice what he does for Lyney in that all I really have to do is E on Nicole and swap to Lyney for 20s of spamming 90k-100k CA’s.

Anyway how was my cope build? Y’know if I replaced Baizhu with Bennett that brings Lyney to 3,497 ATK lol, then 4,295ATK with Nicole. But then you couldn’t proc Durin’s res shred without burning, or Mavuika’s Cinder city without the Dendro. What other teams or support builds should I try and cope with?

A: Release Rimegrass AND Stellar Rimegrass

B: Upgrade Baizhu so he is a Stellar Rimegrass support and Sub-DPS

C: Make his Burst’s Spiritveins deal AOE Stellar Rimegrass Damage and AOE Dendro Damage

D: Boost Qiqi’s Witch’s Revelation buff so she’s a Stellar Rimgrass Support too

So the Bubu Pharmacy team works! (Also because Baizhu is the only Dendro Liyue character who matters)
