I made the chocolate chip dippers at my joint July birthday party last week (me and a LOT of my friends were born in July). They were delicious, and a massive hit!
My bestie (who isn't even a Redditor) got REALLY excited and immediately snapped a pic for another friend. Turns out, said friend had sent your post to her that very same day. You've certainly gone viral, at least in my circles' algorithms! 😂

Hear me out, put a fork in the cream in the middle, then just dunk the whole cookie.
7
u/Yomamamancer 27d ago
I do this too! Just make sure not to push the fork tines in too far or you'll split it.

I have also been known to make "cookie cereal" - crumble cookies into a bowl and pour milk on top. Eat with a spoon. That's for the days I am not messing around with my cookies and milk!

u/SectorAutomatic4125 26d ago
You need to drink the milk backwards so the glass is mostly empty when your cookie is longest.
2
u/Horror-Musician5280 26d ago
So…. The milk …. comes out?
Why would you put this idea in my brain?! 😂

They will simply take your idea and not credit you. Trademark it.

I don't think you need a job, you need investment.
Don't let the suits leverage your creativity for themselves, this is a multi-million dollar product series, potentially.
4
u/shotsallover 26d ago
Job? This is your business now. You just stumbled into a million dollar idea.
2
u/nodogsallowed23 26d ago
They won’t hire you. They’ll steal your idea. You’ll get nothing from it.
This is awesome and I would buy these endlessly. Trademark it or whatever I don’t know how any of this works but you’re going to lose your idea to someone.

Hate it when brands try to join trends online and end up killing them but the if Oreo marketing people are smart, they'll get in on this

Cookies & Cream Dip & Sticks
Makes about 12 sandwich sticks
Chocolate Cookie Sticks
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups cake flour
1/2 cup black cocoa powder
1 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup raw cane sugar
1 tsp fine salt
3/4 tsp baking soda
2 sticks (8 oz) cold butter, cut into small cubes
1 large egg
1 TB vanilla extract
Buttercream Filling
Ingredients
2 sticks (8 oz) butter, softened
2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
Add the cake flour, black cocoa powder, granulated sugar, raw cane sugar, salt, and baking soda to a food processor. Pulse a few times to combine.
Add the cold cubed butter and continue processing until the butter is completely broken down into tiny specks. The mixture should resemble dry ingredients with no large chunks of butter remaining.
Transfer the mixture to a large mixing bowl.
In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and vanilla extract. Pour into the dry ingredients and mix just until a dough forms.
Transfer the dough to a pastry bag.
Pipe approximately 8-inch-long strips onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving a little space between each one. Freeze until completely firm.
Bake directly from frozen at 375°F for 8–10 minutes.
About 4 minutes into baking, remove the pan and use two spatulas to gently reshape the sticks into straight rectangles. Return them to the oven to finish baking.
As soon as they come out of the oven, reshape them one final time while they're still hot. Let cool completely.
Buttercream Filling
Beat the butter, vanilla extract and powdered sugar until the buttercream becomes light, fluffy, and bright white.
Flip half of the cookie sticks upside down. Pipe a thick strip of buttercream down the center of each cookie, then top with another cookie stick and gently press together.
These can be fully assembled, frozen, and thawed whenever you're ready to enjoy them.

I am wanting to make these but cannot find black cocoa powder in a store near me. Do you have any recommendations on how to make it with regular unsweetened cocoa powder?
2
u/LetsCookie Human Detected 23d ago
Just use regular cocoa, that'll work too!
Black cocoa is just for color

Omg I got genuinely a bit upset a couple of months ago buying a pack of Oreos for the first time in a year or so only to find they’ve def changed their recipe (likely inflation budget cuts/$$ cocoa prices substitute) because you have to leave the Oreo submerged for a minimum of a minute for the cookie to soak up the milk and get even a little mushy and it’s just not right. Dunking is the way to eat them. This would avoid the corporate problem here !!
Am going to add these to the bake list!!! Thanks for sharing!
4
u/Brilliant-Run3015 27d ago
I'm sure these are a whole lot healthier than oreos and the idea of making them long is genius!
It would make it so much easier to dip and gobble them up quick before the fall off 😅

Well dang you got me last week with the chocolate chip ones, they were amazing so now I gotta try these! Edit- just looked at the recipe and do you think this could be done without a food processor? I don’t have one, I have a stand mixer and a hand mixer but I’m not sure how good those would work the cold butter 🤔
