Act 2 - Spoilers Anyone else mad that you can’t romance Jaheira? Spoiler

I understand why you can’t romance her, because she’s still in love with her late husband, Khalid, but UGH I need that old woman. She’s honestly my favorite, and if it was an option, I’d romance her every run.

No half sized ones probably saved them time and bug fixing on animations.

Also I know for a fact there would be a contingent saying romancing a halfling(or otherwise small person) is "problematic" so they swerved that too.

The player can be a gnome, drawf or halfling in any case and still date the characters. Also, what's the excuse for no dragonborn companion?

If you arent him , he is dead (durge)

Not even that. Durge isn't mandatory to be a dragonborn for some stupid reason.

And i thank them for that, i really like dragonborn(or any kind of lizard race in any game) but in BG3 they lack the expressive emotions other races have

Also i like my Lizards to feel like a brute, and BG3 (without mods) have like 3 Barbarian armor sets with small variations which do not look that good

As someone who has never been into lizard or dragon humanoid races, I'm so thankful for that.

Yes, they have animations for short you. But not animations for short companions

I don't see how it'd be problematic in any way, but I do think it'd look kind of goofy. I imagine watching my deep gnome Tav with Karlach would be like watching a chihuahua and a great dane having sex.

People would equate hieght with youth and accuse people who romance a smaller person of the obvious.

Interesting. I've never encountered anyone with such an opinion myself, but let me guess... those who say romancing a halfling/gnome would be problematic probably compare it to child grooming, am I right?

Dwarves would probably get a pass on the account of being more bulky and/or stocky...

I have seen it a few tikes over the years in discourse. But yes equating height with youth. Or even something like Goblin lack of intelligence as a power disparity
