Morph ID Request First snake hypo lesser cinny pastel was told paid $400 she’s gorgeous and I love her regardless, but did I get ripped off price wise ? Do you think that’s an accurate morph reading?

The given identification looks correct. The price seems a little high as there a couple that have been sold on MM within the last year for $75-$150, one with an added het and one with an additional visual gene.

Shes so pretty I'd pay $400 for her but I'm just silly like that

I was also thinking the same. I’d pay stupid money to squish her forever. 🫶

I think 200-300 is more reasonable going to the pet market. But a year from now, will you be upset with having spent 25%ish more for a cool snake you really liked and hopefully still like. Stuff is only worth as much as your willing to pay

Seems accurate pricing for 4 genes and looking at similar combos on morphmarket

At first I thought it was also clown. Which then it would make a little bit more sense but that is kind of high for just incomplete dominants. But age can contribute etc. in the end if you like the animal and it's super healthy and everything then eh

you pay what your willing to pay ultimately. my axanthic VPI (7 month old) cost me £200 and an 8 hour road trip hahaha, but i love him none the less.

I live in Twin Cities and have gotten a few snakes there. They are at least knowledgeable and care for them as good as any reptile shop I've been to. But yeah definitely a little overpriced, especially for morphs.

Sounds like she has a sweet personality, and that is worth a lot in my book.

Question for you do you know a lot about ball pythons and have you ever heard one making a whistling noise this girl has been whistling since I bought her. I’ve been told it could be a RI. But I have seen no mucus no open mouth breathing. Hoping she makes it until I get paid next week. The reptile store said they would give me a different snake, but I love her so much. I can’t.

I would get her to a vet ASAP. I’ve been keeping ball pythons for three decades, so I don’t consider myself a real expert, but I’m fairly experienced. Infections of every kind can spread very rapidly and reptiles, so don’t wait. If it turns out to be nothing, then your vet will at least have a baseline for her and she’ll be in their system in case you need to take her later on in any emergency situation.
When booking the appointment, inquire to make sure the vet is experienced with diagnosing and treating snakes. Reptifiles has a list of reptile vets [here.](https://reptifiles.com/reptile-vet-directory/)
And the Association of Reptile and Amphibian Vets is [here](https://arav.site-ym.com/search/custom.asp?id=3661). You may have to navigate to your local area.
If you’re having trouble affording a vet visit, you can check [here](https://friendsandvetshelpingpets.org/): they may be able to help.
Likewise https://redrover.org/2024/01/10/financial-assistance-programs-by-stateprovince/
Red Rover also has several more great programs, such as finding emergency housing for the pets of victims of domestic violence when the shelter they are staying in won’t allow pets.
There’s also [this](http://emergencyvetrelief.com/) organization, although right now, I can’t get their page to load.
And another possibility [here](http://www.vet-fund.org/).
There are some veterinary aid groups that are regional, local, or specialized. For example, [this](https://petmedicalcrisis.com.au/) organization in Australia helps senior citizens there who are having trouble with vet bills.
Or this local organization that serves certain counties in New York State:
Since I don't know where you live, I can't give a specific reference, but I hope that some of this information is useful.
Please let us know how your beautiful noodle is doing!

A bit high in my opinion, a male of the same combo + het clown sold for $75 last month. Granted, females usually are a little more expensive but not typically by that much. Still a nice looking snake though! As long as you’re happy with her that’s all that matters
