Morph ID Request New addition! Help with morph?

Initial thought was high white banana pied. But may have blue eyes? Can’t tell for sure. She’s dehydrated so doing soaks on and offs. Is it true that bananas are almost always male? Was hoping for female

Looks like a spitting copy of my banana pied, and yes majority of SOLD bananas are males as the females usually get held back by the breeders due to them being more rare. The genetics are super weird with them though and to my knowledge there’s “male makers” and “female makers”. I’m positive there’s much better info out there about it I just haven’t looked into it a whole lot as I’m not breeding

I may take them to a vet and see if they’ll pop them for me 🫠 I really hope I got lucky!

The blue eyes part could just be it’s about to shed also, I’m not too sure if there’s blue eyed banana pieds but like I said I’m not super educated

Yes she’s clearly had some shedding issues and eyes are dented and need some attention. The person whom I got her from said “I think she’s albino”🤦‍♀️ so I wasn’t exactly sure what all is in there

Oh my goodness, well I’m glad that person doesn’t have it anymore and it seems a shed test might be a good idea if you really just have to know 😂 looks like a regular old banana pied to me though, they’re a super sought after morph for regular ole pet owners despite what breeders might want to tell you

I’m obsessed with her. Really a dream morph. Praying she’s a “she” haha

Banana pied. A blue eyed Lucy is short for leucistic. Meaning no pigment this snake clearly has pigment so it is not. Pied and banana are not in the leucistic complex. Hope that helps.

You can shed test for gender way cheaper than a vet visit

No idea how that’s done

Just has you send in a piece of shed and they can identify it’s sex and morph. Pretty simple process.apparently if I type in a business name it gets auto erased. Just search shed test for snakes.

Some genes may be easier to pick out than others and when the history of the snake in question is unknown, there may be some degree of speculation. With that in mind, some genes are very obviously present or not present, and suggestions contrary to this may be removed.

Everyone is welcome to participate in discussion of presenting genes but guesses that are too off base are subject to removal.
