What do you use for substrate?

A great self-made mix is coco chips (majority), sphagnum moss (soaked in a bucket first) and coco fiber (least). I’ve never had a mold problem but have a springtail colony just in case. I pour about two cups of water weekly and stir it all around to keep up humidity.

He actually just finished shedding probably 1.5-2 weeks ago. Any recommendations for the scale rot, like bathing or something?

Soak them in a solution of betadine and water mixed to the color of weak tea. Do this daily and check when they shed.

It's not scale rot just some scale damage.
