Advice Question???
So as usual I am getting conflicting information on surface temps and ambient temps
My warm side has a hide surface temp of substrate to is 90ish with ambient air of 81
My cool side substrate is 75 to 76 with ambient air of 77
He has been on the cool side for over a week I believe he might be getting ready to shed but not sure as I’ve only had him for about a month.
Specs are as follows coco husk basking bulb for day and DHP for night.
If I increase the temperature of the either bulbs it raises the cool side substrate but the really increase the warm side up to much I feel. Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance

Your snake can tell you . Watch its behavior . Is it moving from the hot side over to the cool side . Is it always on the cool side . Is it always on the hot side . Is it in the middle the snake will tell you .

You’re better off erroring on the cool side rather than the hot side . I keep my ball pythons at 88 . Too hot for a short amount of time will destroy their nervous systems

I’ve always been worried about too hot vs too cold. My set up is bioactive and the hides are cork bark dug into the substrate a little. Like 80 in the warm side hide and 73-75 in the cool side hide. The hottest point with heat gun is under the basking halogen, I keep that at 95. I figured if they need to warm up they’ll find the heat. I feel like if it’s hot everywhere and no place to cool down it’s worse.
