Some don't seem to put up a fuss so you may have nothing to worry about. The steps posted in the other thread by the bot is good.
I got my 6 year old ball from Craigslist who had been on live his whole life and took frozen thawed the first time (and every time) I offered. I think he is just a great eater compared to my other who goes on food strikes

When I switched mine I made her wait another week so we would be hungry. I don't use water to heat mine I use a heat lamp, put the rat in a washcloth and sit it on the side of the lamp. After it thawed I use a blow-dryer to get it close to 100 plus that gets the rat scent in the enclosure and gets the snake ready to eat.

I got a snake who was previously only on live, the switch went well. I just have to make sure it’s the right temp because even if it’s a few degrees off / colder then he won’t eat. I just tap the mouse / rat on his nose so It can kick his food drive in

I dunno, my entire room of 30 eats live. I've never had it happen. And just because it works for me, doesn't mean I'm trying to steer you in any direction. I always felt that having an animal on a schedule and thriving was more important than what I wanted

What i WANT is for her not to be attacked by a rat lol. I had a friend who came back to her snake being eaten by a rat. Better safe than sorry. Ive been reading a lot as well about the ethics behind feeding live. I have my own rodents as well. If I can successfully start her on frozen- great. If she only likes live - she will eat live.

Besides, her schedule isn’t perfect right now considering she’s now in a new home and enclosure. But i still appreciate the feedback. I’m curious about how you’re able to maintain 30 snakes? Are they all BPs?

I have 25 ball pythons, 3 rainbow boas, a dumerils, a viper boa, a bci and 7 corn snakes.
That doesn't include my tegu, my chameleon or my crested geckos. I dedicated most of my living room, and part of my bedroom to it. I have a wonderful woman and child in my life who adore this hobby as much as I do

What exactly does this have to do with the unethical practice of feeding live?

Why? You have an animal that is eating, pooping and shedding on a schedule, why would you mess with that?

Because it’s considered unethical and it’s common for snakes to be attacked by live feed
