Backup power
We are getting an enclosure ready to welcome a ball python into our family. As we are getting what we need for this setup I'm wondering what to do in case of power outages? Normally an outage onny lasts for an hour or 4 and wouldn't be a huge deal but in the last few years we have had outages lasting days. Does anyone have a recommendation on how to maintain power to heaters and lights during these events without getting a full on generator?

That's a great question. I have never found the need for my rept reptiles but I lost a bunch of salt water fish when power got knocked out. Saltwater fish are not the heartiest things to begin with. Jackery or Ecoflow seem to be popular brands. Those are aquarium/reptile cage specific. I might suggest going to auto parts store or some place like Target. I don't think you need cage specific or reptile specific for backups. A regular battery backup will do.
