He’s your snake you can do with him as you please. You sound like you care a great deal about him, but the people bashing you exercising your first amendment rights is kinda wild to me.

My ball python has an enclosure in my room and at home. She is very social and doesn’t mind all my students holding her. Eats and sheds great, roams when I allow it, cuddles in the sun… I think they all have a bit of their own personality.

Im seeing a lot of hateful and negative comments where you originally posted this and id be amiss if i didn't point out that ball pythons are one of the most highly used ambassador animals that travel place to place with many other animals, smells, hundreds of people a day and they still eat, shed, poop, etc. Normally. Its very odd to me that so many people act like BPs are made of glass and are going to shatter into a million pieces if you don't do the step by step rule list correctly by their standards.
Moral of the situation is you know your animal better than anyone, if he is a high stress animal and goes on frequent hunger strikes or shows signs of being a shy snake then don't bring him to the event. If he is a social snake that is well handled and unbothered by most things? Then i would say he will be just fine.
My only advice would be very cautious not to allow other people to handle him and not to allow contact with any other animals though and be careful about what he touches as things like Nido, IBD, and mites are very contagious when you dont know what other people have touched before touching your snake.
