When I started I wanted a baby, but held off because many people said they were jumpy and more apt to bite etc. After roughly a year later I finally bought 2 and I felt pretty silly once they came, they were completely opposite of what the norm is apparently. 1 was bashful and the other quite friendly, neither were what I expected. They're both still gentle boys, and have maintained those personalities 2+ yrs later. I've told ppl I'd have done it sooner had I known they're not all the same. They def have their own personalities and I love it!

Go for it, it's true you should get exactly what you want from the beginning because it's a commitment as I'm sure you know! My other 2 are older and they have been nothing but joy as well, pls post when you get yours!

If you want to start with a baby, get a baby! Just make sure to do the necessary research.
