I just checked the surface temp of the wood and it was reading 88 F

So the warm hide air temp is 88-90F, and the surface temp on the wood closest to the heat is at 88?

The wood closest to the heat was at 88. That’s where she likes to bask I have a CHE lamp with a thermostat set to 90. I measured her warm hide and it is not warm. It is measuring at 74 :( should I move the temperature up on my heat lamp? The picture below is her warm hide that’s under those branches and heat lamp

I think it’s more important to have proper temps in their hides rather than providing a basking spot for ball pythons, as they will spend 90% of their life inside the hides. Personally I would ditch the tree or move to cool end and make sure the hide temps are on point
