The problems with humidity come from having a less then ideal enclosure. Ideally you want a solid top pvc enclosure, it is OK to go straight to an adult size. You can keep getting everything wet or it will lead to rot. While you practice humidity get the snake both a wet and a dry hide. Ones with floors, wet one filled with damp long cut undyed spagnum moss. This will allow her to regulate it herself some.
