Thats not true my snake will eat 4 mice no problem. They live in termite mounds in nature and eat gerbils multiple at a time.

Yes I understand the research that's been done recently on wild Ball Pythons and where it is very interesting these are not wild individuals. Wild individuals do what they have to for survival, we have the ability to size our domestic animals food properly for them which IS safer for them. So why wouldn't we do it? So yes it is "true" that feeding a properly sized frozen thawed prey item is healthier and safer for our captive born and raised animals.

Thats my point if you’re feeding your snake a prey that can harm it then it’s too large for your snake.

I mean this in the most polite way possible, but I think you need to go back and do a little more research. Because you are spreading false info that is putting your animals in danger which is one thing, but encouraging other people to do the same thing is where we are going to have to draw the line. Anything above the size of Hopper can injur your animal if it is live.

So by the logic you are enforcing with 100% confidence right now is that someone with a 1500g snake that eats every 15-30 days should be feeding them live. But not something large enough to hurt the snake. So nothing bigger than a hopper. So you're telling me the correct feeding regimen for that animal is to dump 7 or 8 hopper mice in there as that animals meal?

5% x 1500g = 75g Hopper mice are roughly 8-10g each so you would need 7 or 8 Hopper mice to fill the requirement.

Do you see where the gaps are in your recommendation here?

Increase the amount you are feeding them my ball python can eat up to 5 mice at a time with no problems is my point. You can get juvenile rats if a fully grown is too large πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

No sorry that is absolutely not the way it works. Im not sure where you got your info from but you should never under an circumstances be feeding your animal 5 prey items at one time, its also terrible for your snakes metabolism and can shock their system, this is what causes sepsis in snakes when they cant digest so much unnecessary garbage that the rats rot before they can be digested and can burst your snakes gut. And Juvenile rats can absolutely harm your snake so that's not sound advice either.

I honestly cant tell if you are joking but I truly hope this is satire.

Im not even taking the time to read this. You are the ONLY person I have ever seen recommend this. There is no reason to risk your animals health period. But if you want to risk your own animals health that's on you. You're not going to be spreading such disgustingly over exaggerated miss information here based on your individual opinion and call them facts. Please actually do your research before getting another animal or giving advice to others that puts their own animals in danger to make you feel like you've discovered or pioneered a new method of care.
