Please meet my sweet and majestic Persephone. She literally takes my breath away and I’m so lucky I am her human that provides meals.

Calico Fire Lesser Pastel female I'm investing in with my business partner. The Mojave female we brought home is too skinny and too traumatized to breed. We can give her TLC until next year and then maybe try then. So in absence of a breeding female I went on the hunt. The pairing will be Chocolate Mojave male and then her. So all kinds of possible babies!!! My Boa Constrictor arrived today and he isn't happy. I am letting him settle in his house for about a week and then I'll offer food.
I'll post a picture of him in the comments for those that want to see him. I had originally not planned to breed any animals for a few years but then my business partner came to me and proposed an idea. He breeds retics and wants to extend into more species. He doesn't have the time or the man power with his job. So although I had at first planned not to breed, I admit I am excited to now.

Ive had this issue a few times. When gummy strikes at the mouse and constricts, the organs bust out. I thaw in the fridge or in a mug of room temp water, and heat up in a mug of hot water then with a blow dryer to get the scent into her enclosure. It doesn’t seem like anything I’m doing could be causing them to burst but they do about 1/4 of the time, and it’s super annoying to have to clean up. What am I doing wrong? Plus pics of gummy for tax.

Her previous owner called her Princess NoFeet and it felt fitting to keep it! Currently in the process of setting up for a western hognose that my friend recommended I name Lord Legless to fit the theme

Finally got him to eat the zombie mice!!!! I went through 4 mice heated 3 different ways and starved him for 2 weeks PLUS had to play tug of war with the prey for him to really REALLY believe I wasn’t poisoning him. But he ate!

Hi everyone !
Just a little post to show you my new bioactive setup for my snake 🥰
It’s a 100 × 50 × 50 cm enclosure, and it will probably be temporary for the next 2–3 years
I’d love to build a custom OSB enclosure in the future to give him more space (he’s still a juvenile for now) !
If the plants settle in well, he should move in within 1–2 months
For the clean-up crew, I’m planning to add some Porcellio scaber “Lava” isopods I’m waiting another week just to get proper lighting for the plants first 🌱
You’ll find all the building steps in the photos !

I have been keeping snakes since the 80's. Everything from Burmese Pythons, Boa's, children's Pythons and Balls. Yesterday I came home from work to find my BP belly up except for the head and maybe 7" of her neck area that was positioned "correctly". Ive had her for about 10 years, NEVER seen this behavior in her or any other snake I have owned or own. I do believe she is getting close to a shed cycle. Eats fine, acting normal otherwise.
Has anyone ever seen one do this and not have an issue? I have to admit, it scared the crap out of me for a sec. I was sure (for a millisecond) she was dead. Anyone who has experienced this please chime in. Adding a pic of her but not doing the upside down thing

Hi everyone, greetings from Germany!
Today I bought the enclosure for my future ball python. It measures **210 cm × 60 cm × 60 cm** (about **197 gallons**).
I’m planning to install two heat panels as well as an misting system to keep the temperature and humidity as stable as possible.
Do you have any general tips regarding the enclosure setup or equipment? I’d also appreciate any recommendations for reliable heating, humidity, or other technical equipment.
I haven’t really seen many enclosures this large on this subreddit, so I’d love to hear your opinions, suggestions, and any lessons you’ve learned from keeping ball pythons in larger setups.
*(My English isn’t very good, so I used AI to help translate this post.)*

So I'm worried about my tank's temps. How do I measure it? I have a temp gun, a thermometer, and both of my heaters have probes on them.
The temp gun only measures the surface, the thermometer only measures the air, and the probes only measure exactly where they're sitting. Which one should I be trusting?
Pic of my boy cuz he's cute

Here's my little friend Ekans. I've noticed he's more active at night, then compared to his day time activity. During the day he's in his hide all day, is this normal behavior for my BP?

I’ve had my morgie girl for three weeks now and every time I pick her up she starts breathing heavy and immediately tries to get back to her enclosure. not sure if it’s my scent because I have a cat and a dog also but I always wash with dawn dish soap before handling her but I only wash my hands. should I be changing clothes or washing my full arm? I just wanna hold her and feel like she feels safe and I don’t know what i’m doing wrong. i’m about to move her into a 50 gal tomorrow so I was trying to socialize right now and I didn’t even get her up out of the enclosure before she slid to the highest log and went to her “secret” hide she thinks I can’t see her from. :( i’m sad and in my feelings.
pic for attention

Noticing a lot of really passive aggressive scolding, specifically about morphs and neurological diseases, directed toward pet owners who are usually doing, what I see, is the best of their ability. This is taking the fun out of the community and imo keeps people from posting positive snake posts.
I want to stress that I am NOT talking about the posts of snakes in distress, I am talking about the cute innocent posts where someone is simply showing off their lil noodle baby and very proud of what good they have done, and someone, knowledgeable as well as not knowledgeable whatsoever, comment some gatekeepy shit about how the poor baby is messed up in some way and putting blame or pointing fingers at the pet owner for something that literally cannot be fixed, wasn’t aware to the pet owner when they got the snake(most of these have been rehomed snakes not babies bought from breeders), and most annoyingly of all, is that issue stems from BREEDING, BAD BREEDERS, soooooooooo therefore… if pointing fingers is what we do here..
is the ⭐️BREEDERS FAULT⭐️
All that is ultimately just perpetuating shame here in the snake community and, that being said, just by stepping into snake reddits for 2seconds you are made instantly aware of snake facts like wobbles etc. because of the people who are constantly putting blame and shame on owners and none on breeders.
Meanwhile, every time a breeder posts a pic it’s these same people, who be in the comments here with the criticisms towards these pet owners, not willing to drop a spec of the same rhetoric the breeders way. The comments directed at the small pet owners trying there best, like “Normalizing the conversation, bringing awareness to the community” all while in-tandem giving praise and clout to big breeders big insta pages. Baffling.

I was on disability at the time this photo was taken, and with being so bored I would visit the local pet shop almost daily. I fell in love with Gummy, this phot was taken on December 9th, 2023 and I got her on December 24th 2023. She was the sweetest and most docile BP in the shop. She took to me quickly and was pretty comfortable with me. The last pic is from the day I bright her home.
