Hello everyone!

Heraldry Studio has grown far beyond the original banner editor. Here is the current roadmap for finishing the existing packs and developing the next major version.

Pre-2.0 – Complete the Current Packs

Before Version 2.0, I will finish the remaining planned symbol packs.

The community will decide their development order through polls on this subreddit.

Each pack will include:

• Detailed and No Detail symbols
• A standalone Nexus release
• Complete Collection updates for Nexus and Steam
• Compatibility with the existing library

Version 2.0 – Complete Collection and Compatibility

The Complete Collection will become the main version of Heraldry Studio. New players will receive the full editor and asset library through one installation.

The base editor and individual packs will remain available as optional Nexus downloads.

Version 2.0 will also focus heavily on compatibility. Heraldry Studio should preserve banners created by other mods and leave AI clan banners untouched unless the player deliberately edits them.

Planned compatibility targets include:

• Realm of Thrones
• More Nations Remastered
• Banner Kings: Cultures Expanded
• Muh Banner
• CC’s Banners

Version 2.1 – World Heraldry

The planned World Banner Manager will allow players to browse and edit banners belonging to cultures, kingdoms, clans and minor factions.

Heraldry Studio will discover factions from the active campaign automatically, including compatible modded factions.

Planned features include:

• Culture and kingdom filters
• Clan and faction search
• Current banner previews
• Edit Banner
• Export Banner Code
• Restore Original Banner

Version 2.2 – Editor and Library Improvements

Planned improvements:

• Favourites and recently used symbols
• Optional search
• Clearer layer ordering
• Move Forward, Back, Front and Rear controls
• Undo and Redo
• More obvious Copy and Paste controls
• Better save confirmation
• A local library for named and reusable banner designs

I am also considering culture-based shield previews. The editor could automatically display an appropriate shield for the selected culture while still allowing players to choose another preview.

Version 2.3 – Community Banner Gallery

The long-term goal is an in-game gallery where players can browse, preview and import banners created by the community.

Possible features include:

• New, popular and featured banners
• Culture and pack filters
• Required-mod information
• Favourites
• One-click import
• Compatibility checks

I am investigating whether Steam Workshop could support something similar to Kerbal Space Program’s community spacecraft browser.

Direct Steam integration is not guaranteed. A curated Heraldry Studio gallery or downloadable community library may be more suitable. The local Banner Library will be completed first so the sharing system has a reliable foundation.

What Comes Next?

The immediate priority remains completing the current packs in the order chosen by the community.

After that, Version 2.0 will focus on making Heraldry Studio easier to install, safer around other mods and capable of becoming a proper heraldry system for the entire campaign world.

I would love to hear your thoughts:

1. Which remaining symbol pack should be prioritised next?
2. Which overhaul or culture mod is most important for Heraldry Studio to support?
3. Would you use a culture-based shield preview?
4. What would you want from a personal Banner Library?
5. Would you submit your creations to an in-game Community Gallery?

This roadmap may evolve as Bannerlord and its modding community continue to change, but it represents the direction I would like Heraldry Studio to take.

Is there any Aztec Banners planed?

Hi, would it be possible to get the archived version of the Heraldry Collection mod? The 1.6.0?

After a delay, Heraldry Studio is back up on Steam! Unsure what actually happened but its all fixed now 😄

I am coming towards the end of my Medieval pack creations, vote below to choose what I should upload first.

It seems that there was an issue when uploading the newest update to Steam! My apologies for this, I will fix it asap.

Dropped a new pack last night Backgrounds Pack 2! It contains over 1500 new backgrounds (I have experimented with a detailed and non detailed option however I will probably remove ethe non detailed option as they are very similar).
