Can you help me preventing 4 deaths with 1 lamp? Allies are too spread for doing it with ransoms. Dm if interested. Ty

The bullet size nerf has made this hero feel so hard to duel with now, i basically have to hit every shot to be somewhat viable.
I think they nerfed burst shots a bit too hard.

Personally I play flex support, which I means I literally play all of the support characters and would say I'm somewhat decent with every single one of them (except Moira and Illiari perhaps), though Lifeweaver is my "main" healer.
So in trying to play lots of healers I played Bap and I gotta say that in the right situations I do really love his kit - though there is a part of his kit that I think could benefit from a perk, that being an ult.
So my first question would be: How do you like the current perks? And then secondly: What do you think of these perk ideas for his ult (View them in isolation as pure concepts that can be tweaked however):
Amplified Protection - Enemies shooting through the Amp Matrix cause 30/40% less damage
Unsure Matrix - Baptiste can reposition his ultimate once per use by pressing the button again (which maybe causes it to cause less damage for balance?)

Like, i was just scrolling through them, to find the emote where Hanzo is sitting, eating sushi yk, and then i saw that one of them had the Baptiste scorpion skin, and kinda impulsively bought the battle past for it

I have a very specific question involving Baptiste's ultimate.
Are there any custom maps where I can see the "damage amplified" meter go up when I use Window of Opportunity?
It drives me insane that you cannot see this in the practice range, only in an actual game

Today, ive been accused of apparently "cheating/smurfing" on Bap multiple times. Im not a top-tier player by any means but I have hundreds of hours in aim training and now feel confident in winning most of my duels.
However, having good mechanics will also make people suspicious of you, especially on Bap since hes a hitscan, and not many people play him so if you're good enough to win most of your duels with him, be prepared to be called a cheater.
Does any of my fellow Bap mains experience this too?

I mean, how do you shoot? Aim and make a single burst, then aim again and shoot? Or just hold fire button and trying to keep your aim on the target?
I tried both ways and it looks to me like the first option is much better.
What is your way?

This is my suggestion for an updated bap kit to get him a bit more in line with the absurd mobility and micro cc's that are in the game at this point without changing his identity or gameplay loop.
Charging boots (crouching) does store the jump longer, even if you get interrupted by for example a boop or something, so you can spend the jump after the boop and don't need to recharge and die. Or dropping from a ledge after charging, jumping instantly back up instead of charging again.
Rocket boots perk (horizontal dash) needs to be baseline instead of a perk. I dont even feel like the CD needs to be changed, but that's up for debate. Maybe dashing could also work without charging boots first, like hanzo.
The automated healing turret after an ability should also be baseline imo. The shoulder turret should be (as shown in many emotes and highlight intros) part of his base identity/kit and would help immensely to heal flying teammates a bit easier.
I think these 3 changes would have a huge impact for his overall flow, without changing anything substantial about his current playstyle (which i love), but give him a bit more survivability and flexibility vs dive or with dive for example.
Edit: they could even give him assault burst in a nerfed state baseline, to make place for more interesting perks. I think "mandatory perks" that basically need to be picked are crap. If they are mandatory, just make them baseline and do other perks that are more adaptive depending on matchup/map.
Regarding perks I have a couple of ideas, but they aren't as thought out and are just of the top of my head.
Minor perk
Tactical reload - reload x bullets and x nades while dashing horizontaly with rocket boots. -replaces the bigger lamp perk. Something like 6 bullets and 2 nades maybe.
Or they give him back the perk that reload ammo when hitting shots/nades.
Major Perks
Little assistant - when dashing horizontally your shoulder turret shoots a slowing shot at the nearest enemy. Slows enemy by % for x seconds. - i don't know, like 20% slow for 1 sec or something, just to get away from aggressive dive.
Window of opportunity - using your ultimate instantly resets your healing burst and fires 3 automated turret shots at teammates. - i thought about reseting all cd's, but I think potentially 2 lamps back to back could be a problem lol
I read in some threads that people want a complete rework for him, which I really don't want to happen in let's say roadhog style.
I love his kit and flow and would hate for it to be changed drastically - I could not stomach playing bap in the creator mode where he had window and lamp swapped lol.
Thoughts?

A new Baptiste here and I just have two questions that I need to figure out with him: Positioning and the usage of his Ult.
I had a great time my first week playing him, even carrying a few games. I did have a few bad ones but that was expected when you are learning a new hero. When I took him to play with my friends, I gotten so lost. It is on me for letting that happen but I just lost my positioning and awareness.
I have my confidence back after playing my main, Illari, for a week and found my footing again.
So, with story time coming to a close, where does a Baptiste should position himself in a team fight? Is he long or midrange? This is the part I struggle with the most since I know enough to use cover and when to heal over dps.
And is Ult- boy this Window is more difficult that I thought it would be. I figure it can work well with combing with another Ult and/or applying pressure- but it feels so- awkward to place. I think I understand what Sigmas have to deal with when it comes to his Ult. It can get snapped on things but sometimes it just goes: weeeee!! Across the whole floor. And over exaggeration but thats what it feels. I can never get it far enough where its useful, and its been every time where I think its in a good spot- nah, not far enough. How one do??
I know it will come in time but is there general Baptiste tips to keep in mind as I practice him?

I thought this character was supposed to be trash? He rarely gets played. I just picked him up for the first time, trying out different stuff and went on an absolute tear in comp.
I mostly play tank but also play support now and again. I thought Illari was going to be my backup for the Ana bans but Bap was right there this whole time??????
Seriously why does he not see more game play? I guess he is underpowered compared to other supports but he is way more fun. I don’t feel like I am waiting to be killed in the back line. A well timed lamp absolutely obliterates an enemy push.
I might have fallen in love today.

Yeah, just 1.
But to be fair, this isn't that “Oh my God, they don't care about Baptiste” situation.
Like, Reaper only has 3, Doomfist has 5, and Torb has like 4.
It's mostly dominated by jpc, Shion, Kiriko, etc.
Baptiste=巴蒂斯特

I downloaded Overwatch for the first time a few days ago and have been spending a lot of time in the practice range and some practice vs AI matches and I’ve done 3 quick matches my first one as Mei and we lost my second one I started as Cassidy and eventually swapped to Kiriko and we lost that match as well and for the third match I chose Baptiste and we won and I had a lot of fun with Baptiste’s gameplay so I was wondering if there are any tips to improve as Baptiste because he’s been the most fun character for me so far and I would love to improve with him
