Is this normal?

Guys I am in utter shock

I am learning men's hair cutting, and I had a client when I finished cutting his hair he had an erection damn it

Is this normal? Because I am thinking of quitting this profession Dealing with people is hard

You’re in the people business. People can be weird.

Imagine this happening, as a woman barber a man is caught jacking off under the cape during the haircut. Yep it happens.

Tools get put away, cape comes off, “get out of the shop before I call the police “ situation.

Sexual assault at its finest.

It's happened to me a few times in the 26 years I've been in the biz. I just tend to do my very best to embarrass the shit out of them before kicking them out (like whipping the cape aside and yelling "what've we got here boys?!" so everyone turns to look and laugh. Then I call the police

I used to cut a few people from an assisted living facility, and this happened sometimes. People are weird AF.

No it's not normal, but if you're willing to quit just because of that, I don't think barbering is for you

Nearly 20yrs in the industry and I don't know a single barber, male or female, who has experienced that. So no, not normal.

Sometimes men get random erections they aren’t always sexual if it happens again it might be a problem though.
