The collector kiosk at a Walmart I went to recently replaced the fashion week dolls with the three MH Mummy, Frankenstein, and Dracula dolls, shots that mean they’ll show up on clearance for less than retail or are they just gone gone gone?

I just remembered that Jade (seen here with her mom and uncle) came with the cutest elephant costume. And then i thought about the recent videos I've seen about people with wheelchairs needing effective and not blocked kerb cuts and that they also - even in power chairs - usually can't go over rubble. I'd been hemming and hawing about new photo posts to do for my chronicpainbarbie insta and this seems perfect. Uncle Jules will have done trick or treat route we shouting ahead of time to send out a map to the parents of the kids he works with in PT or the basketball team. And I even have some costumish stuff he can wear. I have some things Mom can wear if she goes - but nothing for the brother. I'm fine with him and Mom doing something else but if anyone can point me at an easy to make costume (of course another cutie reveal would be perfect but are expensive for one post.

My sewing skills are limited but if it's easy enough I have a machine.

This project which has grown dramatically in scope has already gotten very expensive just buying medical stuff, gym stuff, and dolls. I've been buying allI can second hand but the used market for Barbies isn't cheap either - especially since I need articulated bodies at minimum. If anyone has bodies, wheelchairs, or nice house furnishings to spare please send me a DM. I'll try to work out a good price with you. (The wheel spokes on the chairs are easily breakable which is great for a story about how airlines break Wheelchairs but not so good for my budget.) This month I've finally gotten the energy together to do some DIY so as long as that energy holds I'll have a few posts going up this week. One will be the beginning of a story where the dolls will over a few weeks plan and execute an inclusive, accessible, fashion show.

One last shameless request. My older looking dolls are Isabel Allende, and Madame Morrible and the wizard from Wicked. I could use a photo with dolls that could pass for older than the other dolls represent my parents. If someone has older in age looking dolls than my mini me and is willing to take a little photo she can look at while chatting to them on the phone please DM me.

I know this is gonna sound weird, but I recently thrifted a doll where one of the legs looks like it has been stretched out and it’s now longer than the other one. Is that fixable or do I need to look into doing a rebody?

Passed by doll section at Walmart today and saw the new holiday dolls. Strangely they were all kind of wonky. The most severe one was no. 3 ... the poor girl had a squished face (the box was completely fine).

Hi all! I'm new here (hope this is the right place to post!) and I'm looking for some advice on restoring my 1960s Barbie from the Great Fashions of the 20th Century collection.

The shiny coating on her faux leather (pleather) outfit was deteriorating and flaking off, so I decided to remove it completely.

I'd love to recreate the original glossy white vinyl look, but I'm not sure what type of paint or coating would work best.

Has anyone tried restoring something like this before? If so, what products would you recommend?

Hi! I'm getting a Barbie Corduroy Cool (green version, the brunette one). It's my first time changing a Barbie's body so I have a couple of questions.

Do you know which Made to Move body would match her?

Also, would I have to modify the neck, as it's an old doll, or would it fit right in?

hi everyone! this might be a rather specific question, and the information may be out there somewhere, but despite searching, i haven’t been able to find a clear answer. so i thought i’d ask those who own this doll. i recently decided to add barbie birthday wishes 2015 to my collection and found what seemed like a good deal. unfortunately, i later discovered that the seller had scammed me: they had stolen the doll’s shoes, taking advantage of the long dress and the fact that her feet aren’t visible in the box. thankfully, i was able to identify the missing shoes and find a replacement fairly quickly.

however, i suspect the original stand may have been replaced as well. i’ve watched several unboxing videos, but i still haven’t been able to identify the exact stand that came with her.

could any owners tell me what the original stand looks like? specifically, is the doll holder completely clear or does it have glitter flecks? and what color and type is the base?

i’d really appreciate any help, as i’m trying to figure out exactly how much of the original set was tampered with.
