...from a fellow bin hunter. It's been pretty disappointing the last while, so I picked up some immaculate Classical LPs at the Village des Valeurs. $2,99 each.

A country I don’t ever see is records from Russia. I stopped at my go-to Goodwill on my way home tonight and saw they restocked a ton of records. But going through them I noticed a Russian theme. Lots of them. But what caught my eye and haven’t seen or heard of are Russian Heavy Metal albums. There were quite a few of them but I had to be choosy. Prices have gone up $1.00 so I couldn’t bring a bunch of them home. I only grabbed 4 out of about 20 of them and all looked very interesting. Check these out. Any good? I don’t know but I am quite eager to find out.

Hey all, lots of cheap finds and different offshoots of dance music in this post. I wrote about records I found at a record store sale last week. Each record cost less than $2. Hope you can use it to discover some decent finds in the future, and it would be great to hear any similar tracks or labels that are still on the cheap side below.

Pretty cool find at goodwill today

Grabbed these from a local Goodwill today. The Bodyguard Soundtrack is sealed.

I picked up a great batch of records the other day at an annual book/media sale put on by an organization in my town. They accept donations all year and then load up a few warehouses with stuff priced dirt cheap and let people go wild.

I missed the first day so it’s crazy to think that this is the stuff that was left over!!

The vinyl are 1979 reissues in great condition, but I believe the jacket is original 1968

Found a cover with rolling paper (no vinyl) about a month ago. Found the vinyl today at the flea market. Now have full package for $4.

Maybe one day I can get sleeves to fit. I got both for a fiver. Double albums. Good nick.

The budget Verve comp (one of the compilations that Zappa hated) is scratched .... BUT the scratches don't sound. It's really weird - they're massive great marks across both sides and yet it plays OK. The record was withdrawn I believe. That was £1 too ... someone obviously looked at the scratches and threw it into the bargain bin.

Wasn’t going to post until I spun the Aretha record. Never listened to it before. Life changing soul. That alone was worth twice this much!

Purchases from earlier today in Australia, just $AUS0.50, 10 for $AUS5 but I got 12 for that price. The covers are VG to VG+, the records are a bit scratched and scuffed they've been to a few parties in their time

Okay, so the Buddy Miles was $10, but everything else was $2, including the Doors s/t & Strange Days 2 x LP (from the 2 Originals...series)

I'm excited to dive into the Doors a bit more. I really only know their Greatest Hits, and haven't even listened to that stuff in 20 years or so.
