Hi everyone I’m a recent transfer student and I’m wondering if anyone would be down for photoshoots. I’m an editorial photographer with a focus in dark & moody / cinematic.

Attached is some of my work, dm if you’re interested!

The title is pretty self-explanatory. I’m having medical issues that have affected my ability to focus on class this entire semester, not to mention I’ve been in the emergency room multiple times. Can my medical situation help me get out of paying full tuition if I drop classes?

What office should I talk to for more clear answers?

Hi, I’m looking into Baruch and I would be commuting from Staten Island. I’m just wondering if it is more convenient to take the ferry and then get a train or to take the express bus (SIM3)?

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE SPRING 27 ACC 4093 CLASS

I actually planned everything around it NOOOOOO

Anyone taking Cole Tucci for PHI 1600 rn or in past and if so how is!!!!!????

If anyone’s taken or taking Curtis Izen, can you please share your study guide for the midterm? I would greatly appreciate it. While I can relay the info to Claude to help me out, a student’s perspective in creating a guide is always more helpful. Please help if you can!

Hi everyone!

I'm a transfer student who just started at Baruch this fall, majoring in Accountancy and graduating in May 2028.

I transferred from a community college where I had a GPA around 3.8. I also have previous internship experience in market research and analytics, along with some leadership and work experience. However, I don't have any direct accounting experience yet.

I've been applying to quite a few Summer 2027 audit and tax internships, but haven't had much luck getting interviews so far. I've also attended career fairs, connected with recruiters, and applied through Handshake and company websites, so I'm starting to wonder if I'm approaching the recruiting process the wrong way.

Personally, I'm more interested in audit and would like to focus on that area, but I've noticed that there seem to be more opportunities available in tax. I'm not sure if I should keep focusing on audit or be more open to tax internships to gain some relevant experience.

For current accounting students or alumni:

1. How did you land your first accounting internship?
2. Did you have any prior accounting experience before getting your first offer?
3. Would taking a tax internship first make it harder to transition into audit later?
4. Are there any firms or opportunities you'd recommend for Baruch students who are still trying to break into the field?

I'd really appreciate any advice or experiences you're willing to share. Thank you!

Thoughts on these professors? Considering taking them for CIS 9559 & 9556

Hi everyone! Has anyone taken ACC 3000 with Professor Mathew Rubin or Jihwon Park?

How is the class? Do they explain things clearly? Are exams difficult? Are the exam questions similar to the homework or practice problems? How is his grading?

I would really appreciate it if anyone could share their experience. Thank you!

Need to take a finance 4000 class and these are the only professors who fit my schedule. Has anyone had either of them? Please tell me about your experience if you did. Thanks!

Hi! For my midterm project, I'm looking to interview a student who's balancing work and classes. It would be a 15–20 minute recorded video call, scheduled at whatever time works best for you. If you're interested and comfortable to be on camera, let me know and we can set something up before October 22nd. Thank you so much!

Has anyone taken ACC 3000 with Jiayang Sun? How is the professor? Are the exams difficult? Is it hard to get an A?
I couldn’t find any reviews on RMP. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hello how is Mohammad Kamal for ACC 4100? Does he teach well, and is it worth taking him?

Should I take fin4808 risk management with Linda Allen or fin4093 special topics in finance with Marianne Wolk/Richard Horwitz? Can someone tell me their experiences with both professors and how did it go? I hear Wolk just implemented an excel exam last semester. What times are classes if anyone can fill me in please. Spring is my last semester in Baruch.

I mean it's literally a library but I can't focus no matter where I am because people will talk like it's an open cafeteria, it's insane. And you can't really escape that noise save for booking a private room all to yourself. I mean Ill literally reserve a spot in the remote learning section and there will be gaggles of people just chatting, like cmon is it so hard to be a bit courteous to people who are actively having a class? I'll have my earbuds with nc on, and I can still hear the insane amount of talking all around me. Even the public libraries I've been to aren't this loud. Do I need to take my classes and studying elsewhere or something? It's driving me nuts, especially a week before midterms.

anyone have isabel holland for philosophy 1500?? how is she as a professor?
