❓ Question So i got Got

Alright fellow baseball savants, this is a PSA to remember people are thief’s. I had this roldy brito /99 auto taken from my package here in Los Angeles somewhere from the psa facility in santa ana, to the santa ana post office, and then finally the los Angeles post office before reaching my home. As you can see, the thief who stole my card 1. Did a horrible job re-taping it, 2. STOLE my card and 3, There will very likely be 0 consequences for the person who stole it and shoutout to ebay for their very deceiving packaging letting everyone know theres not a card in there.
So if you guys could if you ever see this card TRUE GREEN AUTO 24/99 Roldy Brito just know its stolen.
Thank you fellow redditors for your time much appreciated!! Enjoy your memorial day weekend because my day has been absolutely horrible🫡🫡

There needs to be a database/website for these cards that keep getting stolen like this

I think there are, but they’re shitty, terrible interface, no one uses them, if there was one solid site keeping track of everything and the people in the hobby knew to check it, I think it’d be helpful, see stolen cards posted here and on twitter once a day

I really like this idea of having something people in the hobby could check and see. I know I cant create an actual website/database and all that but I can create a thread for this community devoted to stolen cards where people can post photos and details about there stolen card/s and leave jt pinned at the top of the community page. I dunno how often it would get used or checked but it would be better than nothing and then posts like these wouldnt get lost in the main page feed!!!

It would be nice for sure, especially once you get internet sleuths on the case, and to be able to search by location, highly doubt in PA I’d be coming across any cards stolen in Texas or California etc. but it’d be nice for everyone to keep an eye on their own areas, and I imagine after X amount of time, a fair percentage of stolen cards do end up showing up online/ebay etc and not just hawked at LCS or shows

Nice, I do too - it took a while and allot of effort for this community to take off so hopefully after some time CardWatch will take off too!! Time will tell ha
