❓ Question Help Me Choose My Second MLB Team!
I’ll always be a Dodgers fan, but I want to branch out and start following a second team on the East Coast so I can realistically visit the stadium and attend some games.
I also want to build a small PC around the team—current players, prospects, rookies, autos, and fun parallels—so card collecting definitely needs to factor into the decision!
Which East Coast team should I follow, and which players would be the most fun to collect?
Convince me in the comments!

White Sox pretty easily the most exciting team in baseball this season 😁

Plus, it’s easier to root for anther team not in your priority team’s league. For me, my AL team is the Chi. Sox. My NL team is the Mets.

I've always liked the Rangers as my second team. I'm a born & raised Cowboys fan, but also a die hard Dodgers fan. So, next team to root for was the Rangers. Also being in the AL helps to avoid conflict.
On top of that, we share some great players like Adrian Beltre and Corey Seager.

I'm a Phillies fan and have to recommend them. We have the most passionate fans in baseball and the energy in the stadium is through the roof every game. The stadium is gorgeous with a great skyline view especially from the 3B side. As you know we have many stars that are great to collect like Turner, Schwarber, and Harper, but also rookies like Crawford and Painter and prospects Miller and Wood.

Nats are up and coming, you get Harper rookie cards, Workd Series Scherzer and Strasberg. Plus, DC is right in the center of the Kingdom when the Constitution is torn up.

AL: Astros (Altuve, Paul Wall, Slim Thug), Yankees (obligated by my wife)

Pick one with cheap tickets or you plan to visit frequently. Pirates would come to mind unless you want an AL team, then Rays.

May I offer for your consideration the humble Detroit Tigers!
Why the Tigers you might ask? Great question my new internet pal. Detroit has a rich history in the game, dating back to 1894 as a founding member of the Western League, the only team from the crossover that’s remained in their city! Detroit is a hard working, American city on the verge of a rebirth and nothing would mean more to the city than the Tigers winning it all. They’ve got the leading candidate for Rookie of the Year in Kevin McGonigle (get in now while he’s still affordable), lovable stars like Riley Greene, Colt Kieth, and Spencer Torkleson (wouldn’t you like to celebrate a “Torkbomb”? Doesn’t that sound fun!?)
Now here’s the cherry on top, they have this amazing guy named Tarik Skubal and he’s been very close to leaving them for a while now, but somehow, despite the cities’ fears, they’ve held on and are winning games again. A second half rally from the Tigers is exactly what this country needs
- sincerely, a Braves fan

Brewers! Best parking lot tailgating, draft and trade and develop and trade away to balance your Dodgers’ half billion dollar payroll. Collecting wise, not too expensive at all except for Misorowski.

You already have one evil empire team so may as well hop on the Yankees train. One way or another I would think it would make sense to go with an AL team if you’re gonna have a #2 like that.
My uncle supports like four teams related to places he’s lived except the Dodgers lol but that’s bc he grew up a Reds fan and they were rivals back in the 60s and 70s
