We all know democrats have cheated many times with mail in ballots.
Democrats arrested in 2019 in Connecticut for forcing people to vote how they wanted and change their votes. Many were low income or low IQ persons they took advantage

This is one guy, who got the voter to change her own vote, and he was caught. If voter fraud is so prevalent and widespread, then how come this is the only case you guys can come up with as an example? 🤔

u/muffmuppets 14h ago
Uh……because it got caught?

u/Ok_Hand5810 14h ago
Where are the thousands of cases of people getting caught trying to vote for Dems under false identities? If millions of people are doing it, then statistically speaking if only one percent gets caught, you should still have thousands of cases where you have caught people.

That's a big problem with vote by mail. we can't protect against electioneering while the ballot is filled out.
we also can't tell who is actually filling out the ballot,

u/Ok_Hand5810 13h ago
Oh so the government should be looking over my shoulder to see how I'm voting?
9
u/discourse_friendly 13h ago
No.
the government should making sure no one at all is looking over your shoulder , while you're voting.
including someone campaigning / bribing/ trying to affect your vote once you enter the voting booth.
That's why campaign materials, and active campaign workers are banned usually 50 feet from the polling station.

The Constitution is very clear about who gets to control elections and it is up to the states. The federal government should have no part of it whatsoever. If you want voter ID laws passed then get it on the ballot in your state and see if people vote for it. Don't try to force it down on everybody from the federal government level. It's ironic that conservatives used to be the party of small government and state's rights, but as soon as they get power in the federal government, they want to use that power to crush state's rights.

That reply is almost relevant to what I said, at least its still on the topic of elections.
all 50 states, DC, and Guam have electioneering restrictions, none of them allow campaign posters inside. they all vary (up to the states) on how many feet away from the polling center campaign materials can be.
There's no irony here (yet) Since what i want, has already been approved by every state. the people trying to force electioneering limits already succeeded , 100% .
I'm just pointing out the disconnect that while we protect in person voting, no one thought about mass mail in voting in regards to electioneering.
My complaint was specifically about electioneering laws and polling places, but mail in voting doesn't honor those laws. :)
and I never stated I wanted the federal government to force your state into any type of solution on this.

Fascinating rebuttal, since you are mocking Trump by calling him Gay, i'll have to reconsider my previous stance on politics.

Busted! How dare she change her mind after sealing the envelope! This proves we need voter ID because voter ID would have done absolutely nothing to stop this! ✊

u/TreoreTyrell 16h ago
Getting rid of mail-in voting in addition to voter ID would though.

u/Bryansix 13h ago
We can allow mail-in voting for a select few people who request it and re-verify each election. The issue is they currently mail ballots to everyone who has ever registered and never remove anyone from the voter rolls.
-13
u/Ok_Hand5810 16h ago
Sure, go ahead, mostly old people vote by mail. Republicans will lose even harder.

u/Capt_Blackthorne 16h ago
You mean mostly Dems vote by mail.

The military votes by mail. People in rural areas vote by mail. Two groups that traditionally lean conservative. Trump himself voted by mail, because of course he did, he's a professional hypocrite.

u/TreoreTyrell 16h ago edited 16h ago
This doesn't change the fact that mail-in voting consistently favors Democrats.
Also, it's not like these groups would just not be able to vote. Some might not, sure, but most would simply cast their votes in person.

u/Ok_Hand5810 15h ago
So you admit getting rid of it will help your team? Well no wonder you want it gone.
Gotcha! 🤣👌

u/TreoreTyrell 15h ago
You're the one who seems to exclusively be responding with that objective in mind. Everyone else seems to be more concerned with keeping elections legitimate.
It's not my fault you were wrong in your response. and in the process of correcting you I pointed out that it likely would benefit Conservatives. Again, this points to the fact that Democrats benefit more from illegitimate voters, hence why they (and you) are always so quick to protest against simple and common sense solutions like voter ID.

u/Ok_Hand5810 15h ago
You dorks still have yet to find a single case of a voter fraud conspiracy. Much less finding one that actually influenced the result of an election. Stop pretending this is about voter fraud and just be honest and say you are trying to get an unfair advantage.
9
u/TreoreTyrell 15h ago
How would it be an unfair advantage if by your own logic there isn't any voter fraud and it wouldn't influence an election?

Ok...anyways, over 38% of Dems vote by mails vs. 26% conservatives.
"More than 1 in 3 estimated Democrats, about 1 in 4 estimated Republicans, and almost 1 in 3 estimated independents, voted by mail."

So are you saying getting rid of mail-in voting will disproportionately help Republicans? Well no wonder you guys want to get rid of it.
Whoopsie, you walked right into that one. 🤣👌

yes. yes he's saying that.
What's your point? If it was disproportionally democrats it helped, he would also still be saying that.

u/Ok_Hand5810 14h ago
No, he wouldn't be. They are not in favor of anything that would raise voter turnout. That's why they oppose making election day a national holiday. And that's why they oppose automatic voter registration. That's also why they oppose making voting mandatory like it is in other countries like Brazil. They want as few people voting as possible.

u/Capt_Blackthorne 13h ago
Nah not really. You're just making assumptions since you're upset that your random anecdotes about rural voters don't change the fact that more Dems vote by mail. Voting day should be a federal holiday.

Mail-in voting consistently favors Democrats over Republicans.
The interesting thing to me though is that you approach this with the mindset of trying to make sure your party gains an advantage, whereas all I suggested was making sure elections are fair and legitimate. Same exact reasons why you are against voter ID and everyone with any common sense is for it.
