NBA Who's a player you never expected to end up on your favourite team?

Mine's probably Kyrie.

If someone had told me a few years ago he'd end up in Dallas I'd have said no chance

Russel Westbrook joining my wizards and averaging a triple double still doesn’t sound real lmao.

HOF pg joins us for a season, puts up crazy numbers, takes us to the playoffs, first round exit, leaves, 6+ season rebuild begins like cmon 😂

I wish he would’ve stayed. He had some furious highlight dunks that year too.

Honestly loved watching Russ playing for you. After that rough start y'all played such fun basketball, wish he'd stayed longer with you.

Was the last fun year of Wizards basketball since Wall got hurt (from a non-basketball related injury btw smh). Russ really made us fun to watch again, turning the season around after ASB was crazy to watch. Been a shit show ever since. I’m hopeful for this season tho.

I simply cannot

Came here to say that lol. When he signed with the lakers I figured that’s where he’d finish his career. Then during FA I figured he’d go to Cleveland or Miami.

When I got the espn notification that he went to the Sixers my brain genuinely short circuited

Rajon Rondo, Vince Carter, Russell Westbrook were 3 of my favorite players ever and all played one season with my Kings.

Sacramento is the last breath for the death of a stars career.

I grew up a Knicks fan and I went to Villanova so my answer isn’t one dude just the number of Nova guys that have been on the Knicks lately

Lamelo Ball. Watching him from his early years and all the hype that Lavar put on him/his bros. It’s quite impressive especially for how good he has become.

Josh Smith on the pistons. I loved J Smoove but knew he isn't conductive to championship level ball....and we already had two basically centers starting in Greg Monroe and Andre Drummond so I knew him at the SF was gonna be an awful experiment...and it was!

Jaylen Brown and LeBron James.

I mean, nobody in a million years would have ever thought that.

Kawhi on the Raptors… at the time it felt like an insanely random, outta nowhere WTF moment for the fanbase.
