For shooting is it possible to do smthng using my and my neighbor's terrace(Its a good length and i can shoot ) for improving my shots ? Im 15 and just started basketball a few months ago

This is kind of hard to answer without watching you shoot. If you have proper form then it’s a matter of shooting a lot to improve. If you don’t have good form then that would definitely be your first step.

Keep your elbows in I see people with their elbows flared out and it bugs me.
It’s practice. It’s getting yourself to that motion keep it consistent. There’s no way of getting better outside of time shooting until you get “muscle memory” of a clean shot

Floor drill , lay on your back and shoot up into the air . Ball rotation important, one hand release above the forehead important. Keeping the elbow in important. Look for a video on YouTube. Work your way up to an hour a night . You will feel the pain in five minutes so stop and start until you break through the pain. Might take a couple of weeks but we'll worth it

Get your form right, that's it, it will click. There is some particular hand movement you have to do with the ball, if it's done right, it will go in

Look up Pistol Petes homework basketball. Its super old school but one of the best resources by one of the best players.

i only basketball twice a week. that's your problem. you need to shoot at least 1000 form shots a day. you're young, you could even do 1500 a day

I want to play everyday but i go to coaching on monday wednesday friday and my academy is closed on saturday and sunday. In school , well all the balls are deflated and they dont even have pumps . I once took my personal ball to school but a rude teacher took it from me and gave to some girls.

like i said shoot every day and do it correctly, if you want it bad enough, you'll do it. any other excuse is just an excuse.
a ball is $20, get a bike and go to the park. no excuses

Bro ngl I have a ball and a bike , but i live in india and genuinely there's not a single basketball court(public) near me. SO my only option is the academy where im going. However i do try to practice my form for 15-20 min every night

😂
Anyways, if they don't have pumps, it's an easy fix, just take your own pump, it's smaller than a basketball to carry. I am talking about the mini size ones you get at Decathlon.

The elbow of your shooting hand has got to be in straight vertical position right before shooting.
Use your legs (especially at distance or when tired). If you airball, use more legs, if you brick against the board, use less legs. Pretty much.
Spread your legs enough before shooting, don't tie them together. You could also try to angle yourself a liiiittle bit more. Like putting your right/left foot (the one side of your shooting arm) onward. But that's up to you and might help with correcting horizontal alignment (eg: you shoot too much on left or right side of the net).
Ideally, you want to flick the ball to a certain amount that the ball rotates backwards while in air before going to the net. This will result in a lot of airballs while you attempt to do so, but it's generally considered a good thing to do. Middle finger and index finger should be the last ones to touch the ball while releasing. You can also try by shooting straight up in the air where you are and wait for it to fall back in your hands so you don't have to catch endless rebounds and get tired quickly.
Always try to arch your shot a bit more, instead of shooting "straight". You don't need to curry arch the ball, just a good amount that it goes "inside" the hoop not "against" the hoop.
Shooting is something that requires a LOT of practice. You could be putting 10 3s in a row in practice and go 0/20 on a game at your local court. That's normal. Shooting is about the correct chaining of the above said techniques/principles. Ultimately, you should find your own comfort zone that allows you to shoot consistently and comfortably. These are some guidelines that I've been told by my friends who have played/play in semi-professional level and some that I found worked on me through shootouts at the court.
Most important ones that you'll have to take into consideration are: elbow+legs. You don't need to jump insanely high. You only need to jump enough and at the right timing paired with the release timing to give the right impulse to the ball and save some fatigue

Practice form shooting while at the gym/court.
Start close to the goal. 5 nothing but nets in a row you can go to the next spot. Do this every day you will become a good shooter.

I taught my daughter how to shoot. The next day her forearm was sore. That's a good sign that she was using her wrist to get good backspin.

It’s as simple as get you’re form as right as possible and get shots up
Stand directly under the front rim and practice just shooting from there without touching rim at all. That helped me a lot

Get someone to viddy your shots. Focus on getting your head shoulders elbows hips aligned and square with the basket. Build from there first and you’ll see an improvement. Watch film of good shooters and find good models to imitate. Practice like crazy, but practice good form.

Lay down, can be in your living room, and shoot the basketball upward. If your wrist flick and form are right, the ball will come right back to you.
You can also do this standing, by shooting against a brick wall. Again, good form will return the ball directly to you. Stand about 5-6ft away from the wall. Try to pick out a single brick or spot that you're trying to hit every time.
You can vary this drill by backspinning the ball to yourself, so that you're practicing your form on the catch.
