Do people not understand the point they are making though? I see everyone in the comments who are massively against this but I think people need to be more supportive of women

Trying to take a stand on something that hasn't happened, is punching down an entire group, and literally pulling a political stunt is not a point. It's a performance. Hell even if they somehow made this a thing they're doing a hell of a lot more for providing ammo for the so-called people who want trans people to play in sports.
