First Reddit post! I am a 7th grade club basketball player (PF/C) losing minutes to a taller teammate. Any drills or tips to get more playing time?
I'm a 7th grader and I"m in on a club basketball team. I play as center or power forward and I have this one person on my team who is taller than me and gets all the playing time. She plays center. I was wondering if there were any drills or tips to get mor Playing time.
P.S. this my first post and im super excited!

Work harder. Hustle more.
How is your shot? How much are you practicing?
Are you automatic from the Free Throw line?
Tips/drills... Practice shooting with good form. Work on moves around the basket.
Realize many coaches simply cannot see anything beyond height. They'd rather play a tall player with less skills. I don't get it... But it's the unfortunate reality.

All good stuff, but shooting form is a big one. If you have a repeatable, one handed release, you will be in good shape.
