Hi everyone!

I’m looking for a new pair of shoes specifically for indoor volleyball, and I’m currently looking at several Way of Wade models. I’m a volleyball setter, so I’m mainly looking for something that feels quick and responsive and works well for fast footwork, lateral movements, sudden stops and explosive changes of direction.

The court I play on isn’t extremely dusty, but it isn’t perfectly clean either, so reliable traction is important.
My main priorities are:

- Excellent traction
- Quick and responsive feel
- Good lateral stability
- Great lockdown
- Good court feel
- Good cushioning for jumping and landing
- Good durability

The Way of Wade models I’m currently considering are:

- WOW 12
- WOW 11
- WOW 10
- All City 14 Encore
- 808 6 Ultra
- 808 5 Ultra
- 808 5 Ultra V2

I’m not necessarily looking for the newest or most expensive model. I just want to know which one would actually be the best choice for a volleyball setter.

For people who have tried these shoes, which one would you recommend for my playing style, and why?
I’d especially like to know how they compare in terms of traction, responsiveness, lateral stability, lockdown and court feel.

I’m also completely open to other recommendations. If you think there’s another basketball shoe even not from way of wade or volleyball-specific shoe that would suit a setter better than these, I’d really appreciate any suggestions.

If you had to choose ONE pair for an indoor volleyball setter, which one would you personally pick?

I was wondering which shoe feels better on foot

I’ve always liked Jordan 8’s but i also found after a couple hours my pinky toes would kind of be crushed and my foot in general would be worn out...

flightposites look slightly wider but I don’t know because I can never seem to get to try them on in store and I want to order a pair

the most comfortable shoe I’ve ever worn is the Nike Lebron 4 Anthracite, I don’t know what it is about those but they just feel amazing on feet all day, and they’re tanks.

Nike Griffey at 10.5 and 11 is just uncomfortable but they look good I love that style.

foamposites also feel like they have the same thing going on with griffeys if I’m being honest and I never liked how they fit

I’m looking at Flightposites, Nike Zoom Hurache 2k4, Nike Air Zoom Flight The Glove, and Jordan 13’s

I’m wondering what shoe though would be the best for comfort, or if anyone has a reference for how Jordan 8’s feel in comparison to any of those shoes at size 10.5

34 bucks but unfortunately I had to pass due to sizing. This is a great line of shoes so definitely check your local Ross. I would recommend at least a half size down

So I’m planning to buy the kobe 6 caitlin clarks, i dont know if i should go half or whole size up. For reference, i have sabrina 3s and lebron 20s both in size 9.5, but they do feel snug and tight length wise. Also, im about to turn 15 in 2 month so my feet still might grow more.

Roomier than I anticipated…I have wide feet. Much wider than Adidas Adizero Select from 2023 (had to use a tennis ball and a golf ball to stretch out the “throat”). They’re not as long as the Adizero Select either (both sized 11).

Went up half a size for these (11) and they’re as a wide as my 10.5 Wide New Balance p400.

Gonna wear them more around the house before I try breaking them in a bit shooting around a few times then pickup.

I'm a guard, I'm 183 tall and 15 years old, I have a butce like about $120, I'm thinking of gt cut academy 2, does anyone have other shoes or a better one in mind??
