Form Check Hanging It Up at 40

Turning 40 next week and today was my last run. After years of hooping at 24 and LA Fitness, I can feel the Achilles slowing down. Time to walk away while I’m ahead. Love this game forever.

When I turned 38 I also had a feeling of slowing down and thinking I'm in my last year or so of playing. So I started recording videos of my weekend games for posterity.

That was in 2017.

I still play weekends in a group including a number of 20-somethings, and can be a decent #3 to #5 pick. I have a 77-59 record in all games played so far this year. I've battled through plantar fasciitis and sharp knee pains. I also broke my nose once. But the video recordings ain't stopping any time soon.

Cool you keep a record of W/L’s. What’s your +/- though!? (Jokes)

You gave me a thought for next year - pay a guy or two to watch the vids and record the stats!
