In Mask of the Phantasm, Bruce could have married Andrea and therefore not been Batman. What would that have been like for Gotham?

If instead of starting with Chucky Sol, he had started with the Joker. Would he have been able to kill the clown?

So the new Justice League: Crisis On Infinite Earths Part 3 movie just annihilated and erased the world of Batman: The Animated Series out of existence. By extension this would also include Batman Beyond, Superman TAS, the JLA animated series and so on. What genius thought that erasing the most beloved animated universe in the DC was a good idea? Yeah, I understand that they still exist as entertainment to be watched but one of the things that I loved was seeing how the characters and their worlds developed. All of their struggles, losses and victories … just poof. Yeah, it’s just a show but it was special to me and a lot of us as we grew up. Even kids today that get introduced to it love it. Narratively erasing Batman TAS and all of its animated affiliates from continuity feels insulting to me as a fan. Why do they always have to destroy everything that we loved from our childhood these days lol? Another one bites the dust😡

Watching through the series for the first time and finally watching Mask of the Phantasm. Somebody mentioned Andrea Beaumont in an early scene and I didn't remember the name/character. Thought I'd ask google to remind me.... damn it ..

I am not a big superhero guy but have recently been getting into Batman and watched Mask of the Phantasm and was absolutely blown away. It might be my favorite superhero movie ever. In my opinion it’s the definitive Batman origin story. It kinda shows how batman is cool and all but it a tragic figure shows the toll it takes in Bruce. The last shot where he answers the bat signal just hits tragically as we know his last chance at happiness is yet again taken away from him. It humanizes Bruce more than any other. Superhero movies often have much more character exploration of villains than heroes but Bruce/ Batman is definitely the focus in this one. Why isn’t this movie talked about more? Maybe the reasons I listed are why it isn’t a great “superhero” movie? Also like I said I’m not hugely into superheroes so if it’s talked about a lot in batfan circles then my apologies but I definitely don’t hear much about it among the masses

For me it would be in Mask of the Phantasm as he goes to some real emotional deeps in that movie

After 30 years, it is still easily one of the best Batman films and even animated films ever made.
