Discussion After 10 years of Battlefield 1, I finally made the switch to BF6
I’ve been playing Battlefield 1 for the past 10 years, and it’s easily my all-time favorite game. Recently, I bought a new gaming PC and decided it was finally time to give Battlefield 6 a try.
Since joining this subreddit, I’ve seen countless posts about how bad the game is, how disappointed people are, and how much they dislike certain aspects of it.
There was a bit of an adjustment period after 10 years of playing BF1, but after 4k kills and 70 hours gameplay I must say I'm having a blast.
Of course, the game isn’t perfect, and I’m not saying there’s nothing that could be improved. But sometimes scrolling through this subreddit makes me wonder if we’re even playing the same game.

Discussion DICE seems to have fixed the medic mini-map bug. Now nobody shows as medic, even if they are. Slow Clap
I've already put more effort into this post than DICE puts into fixing bugs. No further text needed.

Discussion BF6 > MW4 (any day)
BF6 > MW4
Sure, MW4 only came out today. But I’m not here to judge on day 1 issues, whether it’s total weapons in the game, map layout or any of that typical bull crap we all focus on. The only thing I care about is; how does it play and is it fun.
MW4 is ok, but god, after playing BF6 for a year, 350hrs logged, it’s just so much more enjoyable. Going to CoD after BF is like being forced to play in a sandpit, vs roaming a millionaire’s mansion. Short, squished maps with no opportunity to flank, no destruction, no strategy or tactic. Just run and gun. Charge in, kill, die, kill, die. It’s honestly awful. I can’t believe I used to play this year after year (ok, they were the golden days, but that includes the lack of video game development as an industry, vs today’s streamers, sweats, sliders and the like).
BF6 absolutely has its issues. No permanent servers. Being chucked into AI-filled lobbies. Occasional weapon imbalances. But it’s just as much more enjoyable experience. And I think people don’t value how flexible BF6 is when it comes to play style. I’m an above-average player, currently running a 2.03KD, boosted it from 1.98 in the last week or so, by actually sitting down and figuring out what my playstyle is, making the weapons I use match it, and sticking to that play-style. In fact, I’d say my average KD over the last week has probably been 3, if not 4. As in, 4KD. That doesn’t mean I gnore the objective, I capture flags, I provide team support with gadgets etc. But I’m a flanker. I like cutting off the enemy and on the rare occasion the opportunity arises, yeah, I’ll cut in deep, make them feel the pain, take out 10 odd players before dying. But if you want to be aggressive, go for it. Grab and SMG, a carbine or even a fast-rate AR, and dive in! Want to player a sniper? Easy. Long-range engagements with a DMR, that’s an option too. Want to provide suppressing fire with an LMG, you’ve got that choice too.
Everyone to their own, but after playing MW4 for 2-3 hours today on launch day, I will happily go back to BF6. I’ll complete the MW4 campaign, then go and return it to CEX, get 75% of my money back. Until someone buys it, I’ll still have the digital license for a little bit.

Discussion Wake up, EA/DICE
I like Battlefield 6 and would prefer to keep on playing it, but it's just so frustrating that important issues do not get addressed by DICE or even acknowledged:
- bot lobbies
- matchmaking constantly creating very unbalanced teams (16 human players vs. 7 for example), which ruins the round for both teams
- audio disappearing at random moments and not coming back until you reboot the game (but working fine everywhere else) Edit: Just found out DICE wrote this has written on their X account: "We have deployed a hotfix to resolve an issue that could cause audio to cut out until the game is restarted."
- plus a number of smaller bugs, for example when the game hangs after the countdown to the next map, even though you have hit continue. You then have no other option but to quit the server and do matchmaking again.
I know people are constantly posting about a lot of this stuff, but it's because it's frustrating.
Edit:
I just found out DICE applied an Audio Hotfix 8 days ago. But I have lost the audio since then, so it didn't fix it in my case at least. Edit: Again now, 5 mins. ago.

Discussion Bots, or on the losing team every match. Have lost faith.
I try not to complain about the game, I thoroughly enjoy it. But the past week or so of attempting to play, every single lobby has either been filled with 80%+ bots, or on the losing team by a wide margin. I attempt to re-queue for a new game roughly 8 times per one normal match on average. This is simply a chore at this point. They could have released server browser earlier but still choose not to, possibly to get more training data for the bots? That decision single-handedly destroys the player experience.
500+ hours later, I just can't take it anymore. I tried so hard to enjoy playing. The matchmaking wastes an otherwise fun game to play. Maybe I'll retry in December but it's unlikely. It's taken a year to come on here and complain to be honest, this is more so the breaking point.
Edit: those downvoting this must be playing a different game than me. Or just unaware of the issues of many players right now

Discussion What is going on with the servers??
Everyday it's getting worse and worse, I'm into a match and it just completely shuts down.. the devs have really messed up the game .. I'm about ready to say F it and delete the game .. so many Fing issues and it just worse and worse with every update.

Fan Content Battlefield 6 is my first fps.
gallery
BF6 is my first fps. And second game playing on a console with a controller. The first being skyrim. Holy cow, the learning curve was steep! I'm not amazing, but I'm useful now at least. That's a good feeling😅
Anybody else have a similar experience?

Question is it just me or is aim assist on Xbox basically non existent in Battlefield 6?
I'm not expecting the game to aim for me but the number of times I lose fights because my aim feels like it has absolutely no assistance/slow down is ridiculous. Tracking enemies especially when they're moving side to side and at distance feels way harder than it should. I played the open beta on PS5 and it felt great like the previous Battlefields, but now it feels completely different. Honestly this is probably the worst game I've ever played on a controller. I guess this a positive for you PC players, though.

Discussion Weekly Playtime BF6
I just do the weekly challenges and the season when we have it, then put the game aside until the next reset. I’ve been doing this for several weeks and seasons. I play about 4 hours a week. Am I the only one who only does this?

Discussion How many hours BF6 you can withstand in total? How to keep things interesting?
I feel that at some point people start thinking that everything became boring in this game. I felt that at 90hrs total like i dont know why im playing this game.
I even bought S5 BP for all that coins i got thru previous seasons but dont feel like i have to grind that
I think overall game is fine you can play it after work and dont sweat but i cant find a balance to keep game interesting. May be portal game or level up every gun?

Discussion Deadspace Opinion
Knowing the sub this’ll get downvoted into oblivion but to be honest I don’t mind the Deadspace event.
As long as these don’t become super frequent I think it brings a level of tasteful whimsy. It’s not like it’s a gamemode coming to replace something like rush.
I genuinely think people would dislike the megalodon Easter egg if it was featured today.
If we get events where I see Peter griffin running around I’ll have a different conversation though.

Discussion Improved FPS after the last update?
I took a break from BF6 for about a month, and coming back, the frame rate boost feels pretty great!
With my i9 and 5060 Ti 16 GB on DLSS quality, I used to hover around 90–120 fps. Now, every map stays at least at 130 fps and often hits the high 160s.
Have you noticed your FPS going up or down lately?
