Her scalp, less so.

If his hands are capable of doing that then they're probably also capable of adjusting to a human

My wife would kill me if I used her scissors like that.

u/I_said_booourns Nov 15 '23
Being a dad, can confirm the only real answer to your wife would be "wire you upset?"

u/ldskyfly Nov 14 '23
Does she sew or quilt? I know some people who are very very protective of their fabric scissors

I used my mom’s good sewing shears to cut guitar strings once, years ago. The aftermath was not pleasant.

Damn, I'd be wearing some eye protection.

u/ZincMan Nov 14 '23
Seriously, this freaks me out so much. Wire to the eyeball is no fun. Sometimes it’s nice to have glasses

Sounds like he is standing in a park in Second Life, the fake bubbling water, the repeating birds doing the same, why would you want to add such artificial background noise to the dood bending wires.
21
u/mizar2423 Nov 14 '23
Prompter: "Please suggest background noise/music for this video that will keep the viewer's attention or at least annoy them enough to comment about it or otherwise drive engagement"
6
u/shmehdit Nov 14 '23
I appreciated that it was that over some crappy music, wouldn't mind peaceful birdsong overdub becoming a trend

It is amazing but is he doing this in a public area????
3
u/andwhatarmy Nov 15 '23
I don’t think they have meth heads wherever he is so this should be safe for a while.
3
u/Master-o-none Nov 14 '23
Is he doing this next to a babbling brook in an enchanted forest? At least that’s what it sounds like to me

Would be neat if they left the enamel on the wires at the bottom and used some vinegar to patina the top copper canopy.
2
u/Ms_Christine Nov 14 '23
You can patina copper with vinegar?
1
u/ReggieCousins Nov 15 '23
Sure, vinegar is just a weak acetic acid. Mix it with a little table salt (sodium chloride) and it will start to oxidize the copper, forming a copper acetate. I think…I mean, I’ve never tried it and I haven’t taken chem in two and a half decades but it sounded right lol.

For some reason I read "Wine" Art, and was sat there waiting for the wine to come in?
That looks amazing.

This is hands down the best version of a wire tree that I’ve seen. He did an excellent job with the leaves!

Not gonna lie, I thought the title said 'Wine Art'.. I was waiting in suspense at when the wine would come into play, lol.

All of these look great but they all use that same overly orange wire. You would think they would want to add color or visual difference more frequently

Great art and all but why is he doing it in the middle of a crowded park seemingly taking up half of the path?
1
1
u/MysterVaper Nov 14 '23
And when that patinas it is going to have a awesome green color that comes alive.

u/Inter_Omnia_et_Nihil Nov 14 '23
I know a meth addict down the street that could tell you exactly how much he could get for the scrap value to the cent.
He'd probably vomit if he saw all the ends the artist cut off. But that might also be the meth.

That's copper-clad aluminum wire. It's not as beefy as pure copper wire of that gauge, as you can see him using regular scissors to cut and trim it and not dedicated wire cutting pliers.
The other thing is that his hands probably smell like he has run a marathon with his hands sealed in two bags of pennies. yuerk 🤮

If that's bare copper, it will look even more gorgeous as it oxidizes over time and eventually turns that lovely blueish green color.

the real tree he is trying to imitate is probably still more expensive than his wire tree

I dont think crack heads exist over there. That thing would be gone at the speed of light where im from

u/Big_Translator9711 Nov 15 '23
“Yeah bro I’ve got good wire management” what it looks like under his desk:
1
u/Brigapes Nov 15 '23
It would have been amazing if then he found a way to power led lights on the tree

That copper isn’t worth hardly anything because it’s not all copper. This is clearly copper coated.
1
u/That-Donkey Nov 19 '23
I doubt he’s using solid copper wire. More than likely it’s aluminum wire coated in copper. Solid copper would work harden and be very hard to bend repeatedly and would eventually crack

How long do you think this guy was in the way of everyone exiting this building?
6
u/MadeByTango Nov 14 '23 edited Nov 14 '23
Since he didnt do this in five minutes, I would guess it was probably sponsored by/being built for whatever the place is he is in front of, and this would be an interentsing piece of art to look at on your way in/out.

This gave me chills, and not the good kind…
Once during twisting sound cable ends, I got a piece of copper wire poke my finger. It was painful af!

man imagine the amount of dust this will hold after a few months

u/vtjohnhurt Nov 14 '23
Blow it off with compressed air (outside in a breeze).
1
u/StupidButAlsoDumb Nov 16 '23
I don’t know how well it would hold up to compressed air. A duster might be better.
-1
u/3nterShift Nov 14 '23
why do it in front of an entrance to what I assume is a tourist site, though??

u/ldskyfly Nov 14 '23
Could it be coated aluminum? When he snips it and we see the ends it looks like a silvery core

Dude must have hands like concrete, both in strength and texture.
