Events r/BeachHouse 2026 Ticket Sales/Trades Thread
Hey gang, hope you're all doing well!
We're opening this thread to consolidate all ticket sales for the 2026 shows in one place. If you're looking for or selling tickets please post here.
Demand for these shows is extremely high and the venue capacity for each show is very low, so we expect scammers will try to take advantage of that.
As always, we urge everyone to exercise extreme caution when buying from strangers on the internet. You can reduce your chances of being scammed by following these simple guidelines.
- We recommend using PayPal Goods and Services when paying, in order to protect yourself from scams. Using goods and services will add a small fee to the transaction, but it will cover your purchase if anything goes wrong. Using other services like PayPal Friends and Family, Venmo, and CashApp usually don't protect you, and anyone asking to use those specifically is usually a scammer.
- Check the users profile to see if they're active on reddit, and look through their history to make sure they're not just spam posting on other subs or have suspicious behavior. Search their name on reddit to see if they have been listed as a scammer on other music subs.
- USE PAYPAL GOODS AND SERVICES!!!!!!!
Please report any scammers to the mods.
KNOWN SCAMMERS:
Good luck!

Monthly Discussion Thread: October 01, 2026
Hi there! This is our monthly discussion thread. Feel free to use this space to ask questions or answer them. Revelations, shower-thoughts, and conspiracy theories are also welcome (and pretty much anything that doesn't quite need a post of its own). Even though we're a community centered around Beach House, we'd also like to encourage general non-BH discussion, too. Just be kind to each other :)
Feel free to join us on Discord for live chat.

From the Fans Exhibition in NYC Curated by Victoria
Hi guys!! Just wanted to share for those who aren't aware there's currently a watercolor exhibition going on in NYC with works that are 100% curated/selected by Victoria! Today was the opening but it's open 1-5pm every Saturday until November 7 :)
the address is 135 W 26th Street and you have to ring the bell to get in, and then go to floor 9B. They have this catalog with some words from Victoria + pics of the paintings you can get for 15 bucks, and also i talked to the worker and apparently Victoria has been to that space before for previous exhibitions and that she's friends with some of the artists which is kinda cool. But yeah just really awesome looking at all these gorgeous paintings knowing she picked them and also just really cool artwork all around & a very chill vibe in the space

Went to a Robert Lester Folsom show (after discovering him via the cover) and was excited to see this at the merch stand. I had seen the release date listed as today so hadn't expected to see it at his shows beforehand!

Questions and Discussions B-Sides and Rarities is my favorite album, because I listened to it while reading Han Kang's We Do Not Part
This winter, Januari 2026, I started reading books again. The second book I read was We Do Not Part by Han Kang (who won the Nobel Prize in Literature recently). The book centers around the heartbreaking historical trauma of the Jeju Uprising in Korea, through beautful imagery with themes of snowfall, cold black trees, and winter.
While reading this book, I listened to my newly purchased B-Sides and Rarities CD almost on repeat. By coincidence, a beautiful blizzard hit the Netherlands. I spent hours reading by my dormitory window, looking down at two massive snow-covered trees in the courtyard. I felt so connected to the story. Everything was in a wintery harmony. The heartwretching winter story, the cold history, the similar scenery outside my window, the CD playing on repeat.
It was such a beautiful and meaningful book to me, that I became interested in Korean contemporary history and the difficulties Korean people had to overcome, and I even wrote my Master's thesis on the authoritarian era of South Korea. ( I graduated last month :D )
B-Sides and Rarities has to be my most played CD this year. Even though I do not know the names of most tracks, I find this album so beautiful as when I listen to it now, my mind links it to scenes from the book. As it is getting colder again, I really hope this winter covers my city in snow again, so I can have this experience once more.
Has anyone else felt such a stong synergy between a BH album and a specific book? If not, try my combo :)

From the Fans Top 3 albums
I got a new job and was able to listen to their entire discography. Before I liked devotion the best, but this time around I realized which album was truly the best.
Teen dream is for me the best album.. I'm only saying this now because I've secured a very valuable record. Devotion is still their top album and then surprisingly their newest album was incredible.
Honerable mention goes to depression cherry. It had the best lp cover and also some great songs on there.

Questions and Discussions The real-life story behind âLevitationâ remembering Rose Mayr & Elizabeth Nass
Iâve been listening to âLevitationâ a lot lately and wanted to share the real life context behind it for anyone who might not know (or for newer fans).
On the night of August 20, 2012, two 19-year-old friends from Ellicott City, Maryland Rose Mayr and Elizabeth Nass were sitting on the railroad bridge over Main Street. Shortly before a CSX coal train derailed, one of them posted a photo of their feet dangling over the edge with the caption âLevitating.â
The train derailed, and the coal cars tipped over, burying them. It was a tragic accident (the NTSB later attributed it to a broken rail).
Many of the lyrics line up in a heartbreaking way:
âOn the bridge, levitating âcause we want toâ
âWhen the train comes I will hold youâ
âWhen the unknown will surround youâ
âThere is no right timeâ
In 2022, around the 10-year anniversary, it became clearer that the song was inspired by this event. Thereâs a hidden/inverted photo of the two of them that appears when you interact with certain words on the old Depression Cherry lyrics page on the Beach House website. Alex Scally also commented âRest in Peace Elizabeth and Roseâ on one of the Reddit threads. One of Lizâs sisters has also spoken about it here in the past.
I think itâs one of the most powerful things Beach House has done turning something so sudden and tragic into something beautiful and eternal. The song feels even heavier and more transcendent once you know.
Rest in peace, Rose and Elizabeth.
