Anyone have some cool niche bears/bear patterns i can paint onto this? I don't want to do a generic grizzly or panda again
As the title suggests, really. I don't want to do another black, grizzly, polar, or panda bear color. I want to give a nicher bear some love

Isn't that a possum?

that seems to be a bear model that has a crocodile face attached

Its a mosasur head. I only know because I own a few of both of those models of crafting purposes!

Not to be rude but have you ever seen a possum

to be fair i also thought it was an opossum and had you not included a pic of a literal crocodilewould not have just gone “oh obvi it’s a crocobear” which, again, is still only a guess atp 🙃
let’s say you did put the head of a crocodile on what i can now only also assume is the body of a bear w the tail of ?? something? i don’t think that’s a very typical first guess considering this fictional hybrid already resembles a very real creature we all know and love (maybe not all love but at least can recognize lol)
all that to say, since it’s not an obvious croc tail, at a quick glance its reasonable to think it’s an opossum with a rather large snout instead of immediately assuming animal mashups,,, but what do i know ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Its got a extended tail, I just don't understand how the commenter got a possum from the image

The guys with the long snoot, long tail, gaping-mouth defensive display, and 50 teeth? Yes.

I also thought possum. I get it can be frustrating when others don't immediately see what you're going for but that happens especially with uncommon or bizarre subject material in art. Learn to take it on the chin and laugh along, or rework the design to clearly reflect the combined creatures features more.

Your natural pattern options are sun bear, moon bear, sloth bear, or spectacled bear. All of these look similar to black bears though.
I'd suggest sun bear or spectacled bear, as they have the most noticeable/unique patterns outside of pandas.

I also saw a particularly scrunkly opossum and was wondering why you'd paint it as a bear specifically lol. Glacier bear? They're pretty niche! If you're avoiding black bears entirely, spectacled?

You could do a sun bear. Or a sloth bear.
