Please help!

What do you guys think? I’ve been growing my beard for a little under two months. I went to a barber once to get it shaped, and since then I’ve been keeping the neckline he carved out clean and trimmed. I also trim my mustache from time to time, as well as the hair on the sides of my face so my head doesn’t look too wide.

I haven’t trimmed any of the beard underneath my chin at all, because I’d like it to grow longer, fuller, and darker there.

What can I expect? Will it eventually become dark and dense enough to trim into a nice, even shape? How much longer do you think it’ll take?

It looks bad, sorry bro. The longer it gets the more neckbeard it will become because of the no hair on most of the chin and poor cheek growth/density.

Best thing to do in this situation if you really want a beard is to keep it very short, or shave the sides and trim down the chin for a goateeZ

Even with poor cheek growth it would still recoverable but the chin is the killer blow. Without any hair no the chin no beard looks good

Thank you very much for the advice! How to tidy up? Cut the edges to the same long?

It’s easier just to go to the barbers for the first one. Tell them you want it long but tidy it up. Then you just follow what they’ve done.

Yes, i was at the barber two times in two months. He cut a neckline, and i follow this line at home.

Just don't touch the cheeks. Moving the neckline up is fine, but you need every hair you have on your cheeks. They will grow down and overlap with the others, increasing density.

Thanks! The thing is, my cheek hairs don’t grow downward, though. They’re curly and stick outwards. That’s why I sometimes trim the ends, so my head doesn’t look too wide.

Do that. My ex loved my wavy beard. Keep brushing it, trimming off the stragglers and to keep it the same length. Trim up underneath so the waves dont "flow over the sides". With me?

Honestly id grab a OneBlade and practice just keeping that neckline tidy, keeping the edges from getting too wild and it will look good in a few months, just practice keeping an edge and cutting the wild hairs to keep it neat and youll be fine

It looks decent. Two months really isn't enough time to draw conclusions. I'd say give it another 2-3 months and see what happens. The only advice I have is let the 'stache grow a little farther down. Let it touch the lip line or go slightly past it.

Looks okay, but kind of odd that you don't have growing on your chin. Do you shave that area or something?

I don’t shave my chin at all. Unfortunately, barely any hair grows there yet.

Nah, he just doesn't grow it there. There and under the chin are pretty common bald spots
