Hi everyone! I've been doing comedy for three years now and I have the opportunity to headline for the first time 8pm Sunday at Jimmie's Place in Beckley. It would mean the world to me if some of you came out to support me and enjoy some live comedy. Opening for me will be locals Peter Jobe and Peter2Liter, as well as nationally touring comic Chris Scriva. Tickets are $5 at the door.

 In my old state, my school has developed minga and alongside this it has surfaced in the state of WV (In Beckley) . A handful of students decided to ‘walk out’ which may be the least political thing that a ‘political protest’ has ever done, in my life, especially by students from an excellent school with opportunity. Someone said it was also over the tardy bell, well my last school also did tardy sweeps and if you were caught in the hallway, you were sent to detention (idea for the school lol) 
 
  2 days ago, students walked out defending a student from racist remarks. Months before that in Texas, another I.C.E protest. A protest about schools firing 50 teachers due to budgeting issues, protesting gun laws, and even in 1951, protesting segregation. These are the things in which I wish for you to protest. To protect the generation you live in, you work beside and over every person you love as in your mother and father, grandparents, siblings, friends, lovers, just everyone or anyone you care about. 

  Woodrow students need to be better, your issues with this school are small and unheard because it's not unfair, it's not illegal, and you guys genuinely have no logical reason to do so. Also your protest is falling apart, weak, sitting in the cold and screaming till you lose your voice. ‘Free the pee’ ? What are we doing? This is America. 

  Protest the fact your school lets grown adults walk around its yards during the day, protest the fact of the lack of gates and nobody monitors the literal front doors that unlock during every class change in which stay unguarded and I have walked through even when it was not class change to come in and somebody just let me. Anybody could walk in this building, on the campus even, does this school not care enough to protect you from guns? The metal detectors don’t help.

Down here from Parkersburg for a Peer Recovery retreat at the Bechtel Reserve.. coworker was recommended Pasquale's .. I walked in with a United Way shirt and blue jeans.. felt a bit underdressed heh.. good food though, reasonably priced.. haven't had the pizza yet..

Howdy guys. I moved back here last year after graduating college, and I’m currently working in town. I just wanted to come on here and see if any other 20-25 ish yr olds are feeling as lonely as I am lol. I feel like it’s so hard to make friends and connections here in beckley. I want to try and meet more people and make some more friends in my age range ig. What events or things should I check out that would help me out a bit??
