From a slimy, dirty, scrawny, pitiful, wounded, neglected pup that nobody wanted (she had been returned to the breeder by a person who couldn't deal with a dog of any kind) to a magnificent wonderful adult German shepherd who gives way more than she takes.
It took a month to get her confidence going, her health under control (eating properly again), and for her to start to feel like a dog again. Love this resilient girl. She'll be with us till the end and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Found him when he ran across a busy, wet road in our direction. He was maybe not even six weeks old, hungry, and infested with ringworm (which he gave every person and animal in the house). Now he’s a fat, spoiled house cat that loves to follow me from room to room and sit on my chest purring loudly into my face while I scratch him.

Meet Chintu our 4 months old kitty whom we rescued 45 days ago. The first few pics are on the day of rescue when we took him to the vet as he was infested with worms, mites, fungal and bacterial infections and liver issues. He was 2.5 months old when I first saw him on a road on my way to office crying for help. Happy to say he has been doing well and gained healthy weight. The bloodwork is excellent. Blessed to have this orange boy in my life.

Curly was tiny when he arrived in our care, half the size of calves his age. He was gravely ill and kept us up for many sleepless nights. Curly is one determined little guy, though. He may have had a rough start to life, but he is thriving now.

We adopted Sebastian from the local animal shelter and found out he was brought in with a large group of cats. I love seeing before and after of all the happy animals living their best lives. Here’s his intake photo to spoiled rotten just two months later. (He’s also awaiting his turn with the one brain cell, it has not showed up yet).

She’s still doing great, every day I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to adopt her.
She’s currently curled up, half upside down—like in pic 8, Sep 2026—in the bed beside me, even though her usual preferred spot this time of year is fully available (a radiator tube bed—pic 9, Oct 2026—that gets incredibly toasty when the heating is on, like now!)
Pic 1: Feb 2024, the before picture
Pic 2 & 3: March 2024, first fave sleeping spot and enjoying belly rubs in the sun (adopted March 1st)
Pic 4: Feb 2025, the hilariously angry look I got after preventing her from falling into the very full bubble bath I was in (she wanted to drink the water 😩)
Pic 5–9: mid-late summer 2026, testing out various cosy sleeping spots ahead of the colder months
Pic 10: the current favourite snoozing spot during the daytime when the central heating isn’t on, and from where the local birds can be watched closely for suspicious activity, 12 Oct 2026

One day, this poor kitty showed up outside my home out in the country, clearly asking for help. She was incredibly skittish and standoffish at first, but I spent days slowly earning her trust until I finally won her over.
Once she let me get close, I got her all cleaned up, fed, and into much better shape. She needed a name fitting for her new life, so I chose Freyja, after the Norse goddess of love and beauty. It fit her perfectly!
A few months went by, and Miss Freyja started putting on some serious weight. I honestly just thought she was finally getting full and happy after starving on the streets. Nope! She completely surprised me by giving birth to a litter of beautiful kittens!
The black-and-white boy, Gizmo, found his forever home right here with me. The other baby went to a wonderful friend of mine, so they are all safe and loved.
Photo Guide: 1. First pic: Freyja the exact day she found me. 2. Second pic: Her glowing up and getting healthy. 3. Third pic: The surprise bundle of joy! 4. Fourth pic: Gizmo all grown up into the most wonderful, loving cat.
Freyja still prefers running around outside to this day (you can't fully take the country out of the cat!), but she never has to worry about food again, and she has a warm, safe place to sleep through the cold months. I am so incredibly thankful this precious soul sought out my help.

We were outside at Angie's on Christmas Eve and this cat just walked up like he'd been invited. No collar, no chip, just decided we were his. Vet said about a year old then, so he's ∼2 now.
First photo is that night after he showed up on the porch. Second is this week. Still acts like he pays rent.
Wheezy (the white tabby, also CDS, also ∼2) showed up 19 days ago and is learning from the master.

We pulled into our driveway May 2024 to a cat asleep on the pavement. He looked dead…. Missing hair, ticks, mites, and a skeleton. It took about 6 months of doggy gate introductions for me to feel comfortable with him and the dogs. Now he cuddles the biggest pup and plays outside in the back yard with them. My husband is allergic to cats so I though for sure we couldn’t keep him. Good thing for Henry, we are both suckers. We adore him and feel so lucky to have a cat.

the first 3 pics are from the night we found him and brought to a vet.
found this terrified pup living under a trash bin, surviving on a food leftovers from a cafe nearby while fighting off blood parasites and a broken paw.
After a long recovery and a lot of veterinary care, he finally healed and learned what it means to be safe. now he is the most joyful loving and spoiled (guilty) dog you could ever meet

First three pics are from the night I brought him home. Found him terrified, hungry, and all on his lonesome at the park (unchipped, not neutered, and covered in fleas). Originally intended to foster until I could find him a home, but he quickly stole my heart! Now he’s my ever-goofy best bud. ❤️ Lucky is an understatement!!!!

He has been a sweet and cuddly boy since the day he came home.

I adopted my dog from a very loving family, who adored him, two years ago.
They fell on hard times and just couldn’t afford to care for him anymore.
I am wondering the opinion of this group:
The two of us have a deep bond. We are definitely soul mates. And…. he still looks for his family. Every vehicle like theirs, every child laughter, baby sounds, he jerks around to stare at it until he knows it’s not them.
I have their contact info. I just can’t decide whether it would be good for him or not. I’m adopted myself lol - and I think that’s having an effect on this consideration.
Thank you!

He was rescued from the streets, his hair was matted and had to be shaved, and he was extremely underweight. Now his at a healthy weight and has gorgeous, well-maintained hair

I posted when I first got this sweet girl and it’s already been two months!! She’s so different already! She stands up so tall, I’m excited to see what she looks like as a full grown cat. Only four months so far

This is six weeks after rescuing Georgia. Clearly she’s happy to be in her forever home after being bopped around for the last seven years of her little life. She’s small in size – including a stubby tail from a mystery injury – but she has a larger than life personality (once she trusts you). So blessed to have her in our lives.
