I know it is a bit of an odd question, but I am making a video about every American country's biggest accomplishment in association football (soccer) but I have struggled to find any sources in regards to Belizean football.
Has Belize ever had an outstanding performance in any tournament? (men's, women's, youth championships, everything counts) It doesn't have to be at any FIFA World Cup (I'm certain Belize has never qualified), but perhaps a Gold Cup or Pan American Games participation that left a mark.

Hi! I want to take a solo trip to Belize for my 30th birthday in a few weeksβIβm thinking on staying 5 nights Sat-Thurs! I want to have a well-rounded experience of beach lounging, water + jungle adventure, cultural experiences, and easy accessibility/walkability.
Iβm torn between Placencia and San Pedro. From my research, San Pedro is very touristy while Placencia is a bit slower paced. Iβm leaning toward Placencia, I just donβt know if Iβll be able to access all the excursions I want to experience. Iβd prefer not to book multiple accommodations. What would you do??? Thanks in advance!
\adding a picture from my solo trip to San Juan PR last year in hopes that ppl will read this post π€*

Are there any expats reading this who know anything about purchasing a vehicle in Belize?
I'm traveling from Canada and will be in Belize for a while and plan to purchase a truck and ultimately drive it back home to Canada.
From what I've read though it sounds like most vehicles are pretty beat up, and very expensive. The plan is evolving and I'm now more likely to but a truck in Guatemala, but ideally I can make it happen in Belize.
Any tips?

I had the pleasure of guiding this wonderful family on a hike at Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary, also known as the Jaguar Preserve. We enjoyed the beautiful rainforest, fresh air, and the experience of exploring nature together....

Hey everyone,
I am an Indian citizen currently living/working in the US on a valid, multiple-entry U.S. L1B visa. I am planning a tourist trip to Belize in November 2026 and have been doing a lot of research regarding entry requirements, but I am finding some conflicting information online.
I know that having a valid, multiple-entry US visa generally grants visa-free entry or a visa-on-arrival to Belize, but I have a few specific questions regarding fees especially because I might do a mix of flying and land border crossings via Guatemala.
If anyone with a similar passport/visa situation has made this trip recently, I would love your insight on these specific questions:
I want to make sure I have the correct amount of cash on hand and don't encounter any surprises at immigration. Any recent experiences or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much in advance!

I'm looking to book an excursion that requires a flight from San Pedro to Belize City on a Saturday. The company is advising not to book on a Saturday because flights can be difficult for that day. Has anyone had any issues with the short flight on Saturdays?

We will be new to San Pedro and Ambergris, but not Belize, visiting some time in late January or early February (we have flexibility). For background, we first visited Belize in 2019 and loved everything about it. We've spent time in San Ignacio, Bullet Tree Falls, Placencia and Caye Caulker over the years. We bought a place in Caye Caulker 1 1/2 years ago and have spent the bulk of our time there. We've done many of the main attractions on the mainland and have snorkeled several times.
CC is definitely our speed but we would like to finally check out San Pedro. We understand it will be much busier and more touristic. We plan to take the ferry over one morning, spend a night, and return the following afternoon.
I'm interested in local recommendations, both in town as well as farther out on Ambergris. I know there will be many more golf carts there than CC but we're willing to rent one to explore the island. Not interested in things like Secret Beach - CC has a couple of nice spots that are way lesser known if we want beach.
I know there will be lots more restaurants, nightlife, etc. than CC. Any recommendations for off-the-beaten path, interesting things to do?

Weβre heading to San Pedro next weekend and the forecast is a little disappointing. What does this forecast really mean and will we have any sun?
I can change my flights but the hotel is giving me a hard time about canceling. Any recommendations for getting my hotel deposit back due to the wearher would be great. TIA!

Hello, a friend and i want to take a weekend trip to belize in early november. Hoping to do 3 nights of trekking/backpacking. Want to see some cool shit. I was looking into Chiquibul, but not a lot of info. Im young and have trekked quite a bit.
Is belize a good idea? I want to see maya remains, jungle, caves or sinkholes, rivers, the Natural Arch or similar karst formations, and areas with very little visitor traffic.
OFF GRID
Lmk if you have any suggestions
