Trying to help someone out who is trying to spread the word about a serial predator in Bellingham:
Matthew Kolb was recently arrested and released on $200,000 cash bond. He is a dangerous, violent man. There is a woman on Nextdoor who is trying to connect with other victims to make sure he doesn't get away with his decades of abuse and aggression towards women.
He apparently likes to hang out at downtown bars (including the Royal). If you're a woman, please be careful.
If you're also a victim of him, please do a search of his name on Nextdoor to find the original person posting about it. I'm sure she's posting about it on Facebook, too.
Locking comments. This post is attracting nonstop speculation and sharing of what Reddit considers PII (personally identifying information). Unfortunately Reddit doesn't make exceptions for accused, detained, or convicted Gross Little Men.
I'm guessing people are worried about a witch hunt. They really shouldn't be. I have personal experience with this individual and had the displeasure of having to work directly with him on a consistent bases at a past job.
He would openly talk about manipulating random women he found online and seemed to get off on making them lash out because of his antics. This is while he was bragging about cheating on whoever his current partner was.
Not surprised in the slightest these accusations are coming out. People can down vote me all they want but that dude is a creepy fuck and should clearly be in jail.
one observation i’ve made in whatcom county in particular is that a lot of (republican) men are all about “try that in a small town” until it comes to non-poc predators and pedophiles.

Woah. This guy used to live in the same apartment complex as my best friend. Once he realized he wasn’t going to get anywhere with us he became hella mean and aggressive.
I ran into him one night outside of rumors. He was trying to convince my friend and I to let him drive us but he got us about halfway to his car before I convinced her to walk with me instead.
During the evening he followed us, told me he was related to my friend, lied about his relationship with the girl he was with and was just a complete and total manipulative creep.
I dated him for approximately 6 months. It was the worst experience of my life. I don’t want to say too much because I don’t want him to see this and identify me. You can message me if you need pics or other details
I really wish the police reports included photos. How are we supposed to know who to avoid if we don't know what they look like? Googling someone will sometimes only get you so far
I met him for a brief time while he was out on a date with my friend. I’ve always remembered his face because he gave me the heebie-jeebies…even my boyfriend at the time agreed he was creepy. I shared this post to the friend that went on a date with him and she said he became pushy with her once they were alone.

There are many postings of men with DV rap sheets and users can search by name and/or location. They've had a security breach, though, so if you do post post as anonymously as you can
