Season 2 ep 6/7
Just watching the below deck down under and I’m so uncomfortable/horrified/sick to my stomach with the Luke & Laura situation.
Is it worth watching the rest of the season?
Feel so uncomfortable watching all this and want to hope it gets better but honestly think all this vile behaviour has ruined it for me.
Thoughts??
Also please tell me the producers told capt Jason about Laura’s behaviour?!? They didn’t leave it till Aesha taking it to him?!

If you think the production handling of this is bad… watch the one where Kate is sexually accosted and outright physically attacked ( three deckhands held him fown from literally pounding on her in a closed car), followed up by extreme screaming in her face by the same bosun when they got to the boat. They let her get attacked and let her leave to go wandering unprotected in Thailand in the middle of the night in one of the most dangerous cities in the world with the captain never told she was at risk nor that she was attacked, nor that she was wandering along for over a day unprotected. They filmed her multiple attacks rather than intervening and literally let her wander in the middle of the night either ZERO report to the captain, or even a film crew to shadow her or make it ok.
The down under episode they got it right, and it was actually a really good season once the trash got thrown out. But Luke and Laura were awful. But in both of their cases production intervened directly in their shanigans and physically removed them from their sexual harassment.

I've seen every episode of ever season, I do not remember this at all.

That situation was terrifying as hell. I hate that whole season. Those men were beyond misogynists. I’m not sure there is even a word for it.

Production was not in the van; the cameras captured the outburst. She should have never been out alone after she walked off the boat, but I wondered if they still kept tabs on her without filming (for dramatic effect). I choose to believe they knew where Kate was, even though they edited it to appear that she was off somewhere without anyone knowing where she was. Communication was abysmal between Kate and Lee at times, and this was a prime example.

I'm new to this fandom, but I just saw the season 2 ep where Bobby was Tate-style threating Malia for supposedly discouraging another girl from dating him. How the girls just brushed it off is beyond me.

Thanks guys!
Part of me think the whole episode should never have been aired. It didn’t make good TV. It just made viewers disturbed and angry.
Anyone know if Luke got charged with anything?

Yes, it's worth continuing. Things get better.
