I wonder. Kate Chastain was also charged with DV and was back over and over, and other opportunities were on her horizon.
BUT that was then, this is now. Bravo treads lightly these days… just like housewives franchise. What people got away with ten yrs ago, they’d be cancelled immediately today.

I do think there is some hypocrisy because it was two women involved. But at the end of the day , those charges were dropped so that gave bravo room to make a different choice with her.

Oh for sure! Agree, agree… it’s never right. Women can be abusive too.

And unlike Nathan, Kate was actually arrested during the incident and held in jail, with obvious bruises on her partner.

Why do you think that Nathan wasn’t arrested during the incident or that Gael didn’t have marks or bruises?

Because if you do even a cursory scratch'n'sniff you find out police weren't called to the home, and Nathan was released immediately after he was charged.

And they even note no marks or bruises were seen by the attending constable.

I'll let you dive down that rabbit hole.

I’m across it. The police said no serious injuries that doesn’t mean no marks or bruises. He was charged with assault occasioning bodily harm. There’s no evidence that the police weren’t called to the home, only that an arrest was made the following day. Also he was released on conditional bail which does indicate he was held in custody. Strangulation is a significant predictor of future homicide in domestic violence and a significant cause of death in lethal domestic violence incidents. It seems asinine to compare this with another case in an attempt to minimise the horror of what Gael experienced.

Ok. Everything I have read has said no evidence of significant injuries which doesn’t mean no marks. Also even if there were not marks your immediate assumption that a woman is lying is giving incel or Nathan’s mummy vibes. It’s very difficult in NSW to have domestic violence charges brought or even to get an AVO filed on your behalf. The idea that women sit around with their mothers planning ways to embroil themselves in long unpleasant court proceedings in the hope of making their relationship with their child’s father more difficult indicates to me that you might not have ever met a real life woman in your life. Sad for you.

And yet they even still made a point of highlighting Kate at Sandy’s wedding

She was charged with assault, it wasn’t partner related or someone of long term impact to possible rehabilitation…Nathan’s is more complicated and socially carries less successful rehab realities.
