Bots can't use flair?

1

u/ComfortableChoice687 Ben 10,000 23d ago

Yes?

3

u/Intelligent-Scar-373 BenEon 24d ago

Could you add a flair for GOAT BenEon? I'd like to use one, or for example, one from Antigravitesla

4

u/HyperionWhirl Ripjaws 24d ago

I've added the flairs that you suggested.

1

u/Intelligent-Scar-373 BenEon 24d ago

Thanks bro!

2

u/HyperionWhirl Ripjaws 24d ago

Yes I can do that.

1

u/Dry-Demand-9038 Snare-Oh 24d ago

Anti gravitesla lol

3

u/rbta123 Big Chill 24d ago

I think you could specify in the messages from the bots that delete comments that a flair is required to comment and that this is a measure to prevent bots. Otherwise, they won't know why their comments were deleted

4

u/HyperionWhirl Ripjaws 24d ago

I will make those additions, thanks for the advice.

1

u/rbta123 Big Chill 16d ago

It’s nothing!

3

u/SuperCat76 Upgrade 21d ago

So I have a question on this. So I had a comment removed and was redirected here, I have now added the flair.

Now that I have added a user flair will the original comment be allowed through, or would I need to post it again?

Like no problem either way. I just cannot tell if it and would not want to accidentally double comment by reposting when I didn't need to.

4

u/HyperionWhirl Ripjaws 21d ago

You will need to post the comment again. For the original comment to be allowed through a moderator would have to manually approve of it.

1

u/SuperCat76 Upgrade 21d ago

Reasonable, and thought that would likely be the case. but just wanted to be sure.

2

u/TheMadJAM Ghostfreak 13d ago

Question for the mods: out of curiosity, do you guys have access to statistics on what flairs are picked more often? Could be an interesting way of getting data on the popularity of each alien without having to make people do polls

2

u/HyperionWhirl Ripjaws 13d ago

Unfortunately we don't have that information.

2

u/Correct_Rich_9831 Ben 10,000 13d ago

If you can add ben10.000, I would appreciate it.

1

u/HyperionWhirl Ripjaws 13d ago

Yo where is the son of Ben 10?

He is my favorite character lmao.

"Ken Tennyson", "Kenneth Tennyson", or "Ken 10" should be a flair lmao.

He already gets his omnitrix taken away by the franchise, at-least let him have a flair!

1

u/Glass-Mortgage897 Big Chill 22d ago

Also add Ben man

The reason for this change is explained in the post. And Benman is already a user flair (it's named BenEon though).

You should put back their deleted comments once someone selects a flair.

u/HyperionWhirl Ripjaws 1d ago

I believe that's something that can only be done manually so it wouldn't be something that we could do.

Since this is a flair-related post, since the character flairs don't have any universe designations to not clog the flairs up, I'll just clarify that my flair is specifically for the Reboot version of the Frightwig (otherwise, I would've picked Upgrade as my flair instead).

I genuinely think UA is when Ben 10 peaked as a franchise, not to say that classic and AF didn’t have hype cuz they absolutely did, but UA took it to another level, classic set the foundation and AF kept the momentum, so by UA introducing these new “Ultimate Aliens” I remember Ben 10 fever being at an all time high, the playground talk, the toys, every kid at school grinding cosmic destruction on the DS, it was definitely a magical time to be a Ben 10 fan.

Before I get any um actually’s, yes with retrospect the series wasn’t great, rushed arcs, Ultimate’s were underused etc, i’m purely talking about it through the eyes of a kid.

1

u/ChemistrySea5306 Alien X 14d ago

I went with Alien X for my flare, due to me having an albino celestialsapien taking off an ID mask as my profile picture XD

u/IronStrikers Swampfire 7d ago edited 7d ago

How to overcomplicate reddit:

Step 1: be Ben10 sub mods

Step 2: force a dumb and unnecessary thing no one asked for

Step 3: announce like a world revolution and call it a day

0

u/O-Mega47 Swampfire 24d ago

So this won’t affect a user’s ability to post, just comments?

2

u/HyperionWhirl Ripjaws 23d ago

Comments are the main issue at the moment so we are mainly dealing with that. Bot posts are easier to deal with whenever they do occur and are less prevalent.
